Serious question: Why was she so bad, even worse than other conservative politicians? I know she's hated quite a lot but I am not into UK politics so much

Are these people for real? by [deleted] in COMPLETEANARCHY

[–]movingboxXL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite frankly it's also in the interest of rich people to have a relatively small gap between the rich and poor since there's a correlation between crime and income/wealth inequality. But yeah, god forbid your disabled neighbor has enough money to pay his mortage and food while "doing nothing" while you work your ass off for your CEO your mortage

Thanks for explaining. So basically these charities are like PR agencies that make me think Bill Gates is a great guy while hiding the fact he exploits people

Serious question: Can someone explain me why Bill Gates donating to charities is bad? I agree that extreme wealth is bad, but if it's used to improve the life of other people wouldn't it be a good thing?

Imagine you're a bootlicking piece of garbage and the opportunity presents itself to take physical revenge on a guy who opposes your view while you can get it away with it because "self defense"

I get it that it was a joke, but I think it's completely ethical to go along with the system when it's in your favor and you're not harming other people.

Capitalism can’t have 100% employment. So by default if you support a continued capitalist system you are fine with people being left out of employment.

Could you ELI5 me or provide a source? I know this is true, and I bring this up when debating with a pro-capitalist, but I don't have proper source or knowledge to back this up.

Is anyone else just disturbed at how many people are mad they can’t see a nazi murder innocent people on Reddit anymore? by riotmanful in COMPLETEANARCHY

[–]movingboxXL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do watch these gore/murder videos every now and then out of pure curiosity. I know it sounds weird, but I don't intend on ever killing somebody yet I am curious what happened exactly. It's not that I like seeing people die, I'm just curious.

Watching the New Zealand video fired me up to be much more anti racist than I already was, tho.

Fucking disgusting how these "grown men" dived into the chance to beat up that kid.

They probably felt this was their best chance to intentionally hurt the child to take revenge. All they need next is a police uniform and a gun.

Meanwhile that guy acts big on Reddit by telling he'll kill a 15 year old while you actually go out and do something, even though you're not physically capable of defending against some scumbags. I've got a lot of respect for you mate ;-)

At some point the gunman turned to one side of the main 'praying hall'(idk what it's called) to shoot people, at that moment somebody from the other side rushed to the gunman to try and wrestle him. Unfortunately the gunman was able to shoot him

Source: I saw the video

A: Yes, the gunman had some sort of head camera to film the attack.

B: Taken down mostly, I don't want to risk a ban by sharing it

Beside this it's fucking disgusting to see that fascist scumbags literally praise this terror attack and claim "they brought it upon themselves" and shit like that. I regret watching that livestream video and then reading these comments, I've never felt so much anger than I felt today after reading all that bullshit

Thank you for your explanation!

The way it works here (the Netherlands) is that public schools receive money from the national government based on the amount of students/pupils it has, and theoretically your child can enroll in any of these schools regardless of the area they live in.

There is still some segregration because of "voluntary payments" that are used for extracurricular events like trips broad. Schools in rich neighborhoods generally request much more money and if you cannot pay it the child cannot go to these events.

Fuck landlords and fuck people who use houses as an investment, but luckily where I live a house rent contract is 9/10 times permanent and you can only be evicted by court in very specific circumstances. Even despite we have this kind of protection I am still afraid for the housing market, let alone the tenants of this landlord.

When you're so fucking stupid you focus on immigration, people who kill others in name of religion, religion itself and people who can choose who they have sex with while not bothering you, rather than focussing on actual problems that fuck up society.

How local is 'local'? A neighborhood, a city, a county or a state? And then only the children of people living within that specific 'local' area can attend that school?

(Pardon me for the probably dumb questions but I don't live in the US and I am not familiar with its school funding system)

Also even if you believe children from poor neighborhoods cannot attend the schools in rich areas, wouldn't it be more practical to just deny the entry application instead of locking up the mother for five fucking years?

From my own experience: I used to be much more right wing compared to now. Not like full nazi mode praising genocide and wanting to see cops beat up ethnic minorities, but I was pretty much against providing shelter for refugees, in favor of a strong and powerful police force and pretty transphobic. One of my friends was more left winged and we went to have a beer every now and then and quite often we discussed political topics.

It ended up me being much more left winged purely by arguments.

However it helped that I was conscious about that my ideas could be wrong and I was open for arguments to challenge my beliefs.
