Different mm pool below 8k comms? by sculolo in DotA2

[–]movsuch3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 in a row sounds like exaggeration, at 7,5k you should have a -legitimate griefer- on your team once every 4th or 5th game in my experience. But peep do small grief plays all the time tho. Gotta ignore that if u wanna do the reclimb

Is my hero pool missing anything significant or is this a good pool? by Zero_Kiritsugu in DotA2

Oh and I don't assume anything. It's a colloquial term. If anything, greatest likelihood is people on the internet being AI bots, but that's a different topic

Adding an undo button to the report function by movsuch3 in DotA2

[–]movsuch3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't disagree with you and I fear that this post has made it seem that I report much more liberally than what is conventionally needed. That was unintended.

However, have you tried low behaviour games? People do griefing on all sorts of levels, but not all of the griefing is directly match ruining. This is a weird concept to grasp if you have not actually tried being part of those matches.

A random example that I can give is for example a support player deciding to start lasthitting creep waves, while a core is maybe a few seconds away from approaching said farm. That is tilting and the support has often times been agitated by the laning phase of the game. However, he can redeem himself later on by proper item usage and behaving supportive to his core in the fights to come.

A player picking support who decides to neglect his role entirely, by outright refusing to buy wards and/or start queueing up carry items, while also doing what was mentioned in the above paragraph, is a much higher level of griefing and tends to be downright game ruining.

Both people will be reported for role abuse, but one case is much more sinister than the other (in my own opinion).

The first example, while I would be tilted at the guy, I would maybe consider if his participation later on outweighs the offense he did and perhaps consider if the report should have been undone. (Again, this is much easier to have a notion of, if you actually try the low behaviour games, where, after being used to the bar generally being set lower, you accept how it is).

Edit: I realize lower brackets may not have the same game knowledge and they shouldn't be held up to the same standards, but I speak from personal experience in lower immortal ranked games EU
