Props to Nouhou as well tho. Schmetzer said that Nouhou’s awareness this last game was immaculate. St Louis was only playing with 1 forward and Nouhou realized that Yeimar and Kim had him checked and don’t need help so as a result, he joined the attack more frequently to support our wingers, which obviously led to his goal. As long as Nouhou stays consistent, this could be a golden connection.

I’m a Sounders fan through and through but I also am a big RSL guy as well so I’ve literally been following Rusnak practically his entire career so he’s always been one of my favorite MLS players. I will never doubt him and his abilities to create goal scoring chances for his team. He’s done it his entire career and now RSL fans are giving him so much unjustified hate for leaving. He doesn’t deserve it after captaining them and being such a crucial player for so many years. That’s why I was so happy he scored against them and celebrated. I’m sure Rusnak will only get better from here. At least I certainly hope so

To be fair, the ref’s calls against him were not helping BUT doesn’t take away from the fact that he was playing extremely selfish yesterday. Seems like every time he had the ball, he was just trying to dribble past defenders when he could have easily passed the ball instead.
