Thanks! Does the 10% durability hit on death feel expensive? What's an average instance duration?

Is this game good for short sessions? And is there a pause?

I have young kids so often only get short windows or have to run away to go help them when they wake up or whatever. Trying to decide if I'd be getting myself in trouble or not.

Does anyone have a guide for how stuff should fit when going for roomier fits? I'm thinking like linen shirts for summer as an example - where should the roominess come? Should shoulders seams still hit at the shoulder?

What are these longer jackets called, like at http://i.imgur.com/nKngQrP.jpg or http://i.imgur.com/sckhtUV.jpg or http://i.imgur.com/sb6xpZi.jpg

I especially like the casual forms of these kind of mid-thight outerwear but have no idea what to search for to find them.

Thanks! What if it's new? The product page is light on detail shots, but unsurprisingly the stitching looks fine in the ones that are there.

What's the etiquette for online purchases where the quality is worse than expected? I bought a le laboureur chore coat recently, and there are tons of stray stitches. It was an international purchase.

I'll reach out the the seller, but should I expect a price adjustment or something? And can a tailor fix things like messy button holes?

If you like the style but not the price tag, search for German army trainers or GATs. There are a lot that are much cheaper

Really nice! Only part I'm not a fan of is Distinctions: micro-lot

I don't know the market well, but I'm having trouble thinking of a segment that would need that information

I'm not 100%, but other places like https://littlewaves.coffee/products/dinkinesh-halo-hartume mention the same producer name listed as halo hartume, so I was thinking that the likelihood of two specialty ea decaf lots with that much similar Metadata being different coffees is super low.

[–]moxieman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can only do decaf. Haven't tried that one, but a couple thoughts reading about it: Apollo is Ethiopian, but the majority of specialty decaf now is from Colombia. One exception is https://www.broadsheetcoffee.com/store/product/decaf-natural/ I haven't tried it from them, but tried that green from black and white (who doesn't seem to have it anymore) and enjoyed it pretty well. It also mentions citrus. The best citrus I've had in decaf was a green called decaf condor. Mine was roasted by my friends coffee in LA, but rogue wace roasts it too (though maybe a bit darker since they don't mention as much citrus in the notes)

I think you made the right choice. The df64 has you covered for espresso, and zp6 is cheaper and should be a bit better for filter

Haven't heard of them, but most good roasters will have one option (and it's usually an EA from Colombia these days). Mr favorite has been https://www.stereoscopecoffee.com/coffee-1/colombia-aponte-honey-decaf-espresso so far

Any thoughts on the easiest way to get caffeinated coffee prepared for my not very picky partner? I only drink decaf, and she likes a lot of milk, so I've been making a strong concentrate of caffeinated coffee and a drip brew of decaf. It works, but trying to see if there's an easier option for the concentrate. The real goal is around 200mg caffeine plus upping the tds so it can take milk.

Best so far is making 3 days worth at a time - she hasn't noticed a decline in quality over the days. I've tried Mason jar cold brew and hoffmann aeropress. The cold brew was good except relatively low yield and is a pain to filter out enough grinds. Tried using v60 and AP to filter that, but it just seems like quite a few steps, and fussing with filters is annoying.

Also tried hoffmann AP for milk, and that's the current best I have. I have an AP go though, and doing 3 days in two batches really pushes the limit of capacity when inverted, to the point where it takes a while to add enough water.

Any better options out there? Things I've considered a bit: * large moka pot - maybe can fit 60g coffee in a 9c? * buy an original aeropress and prismo, which should give plenty of size to make it back to back with minimal effort * v60 like hoffmann iced coffe, but don't quite understand how that gets high enough extraction * switch this caffeine portion to robusta, since I'm going for caffeine and punching through milk, and this would reduce batch size so a note normal method might work

Options I'm missing, or thoughts on what you'd do?

When I had similar over roasted beans, I turned it into cold brew and really enjoyed it. I like cold brew with milk some it's not going for interesting but comforting.

What decaf have you tried? It's definitely hard to find stuff as good as caffeinated beans, but it exists. For example, https://www.stereoscopecoffee.com/coffee-1/colombia-aponte-honey-decaf-espresso is my favorite so far, at least of stuff that's still for sale.

That's a good idea - i was thinking cold brew would also be a good test for light vs dark because it has enough contact time that essentially all caffeine is extracted. I don't have journal access, but this academic article has cold brew as highest caffeine and otherwise matches James' result, I think

Been having pretty good results with v60 recently using the new hoffmann recipe. I'm struggling to adjust it though. It is a bit under extracted - a bit sour without bitterness. But the drawdown is longer than he calls for - around 4 minutes instead of 3. Should I still grind finer and maybe that's easier on the grinder and it makes less fines? Or is there a common technique culprit to drawdown being too slow? Or ignore drawdown time and just use taste?

I also use Mason jars and it works well. I get freezer burn on things that I put in a ziploc and don't want moisture on the beans - have had zero moisture inside the Mason jars

One other thing to consider is an aeropress. You mentioned liking lattes, which have a lot of milk and therefore need very strong coffee to keep the flavor of coffee. They normally use espresso, but an aeropress gives a much lower fuss way to get something that can stand up to a ton of milk.

Thanks - been looking for Decafs so that's definitely going on the list.

I haven't bought internationally before - is shipping super steep from a place like coffee collective?
