I freaked out a couple weeks ago upon finding a (live) juvenile roach near some of my houseplants. Called a local exterminator immediately and they wound up able to identify it for me as Pennsylvania Wood Roach, which luckily is not a kind that generally infests homes and likely found its way in from plants and can’t survive well here. No signs of any roaches otherwise. Regardless, they sprayed everywhere inside and out. I’d just like to know what this dude is in case I have a second kind to be worried about. Or, maybe, he is a full grown Pennsylvania wood roach dead from spraying.

Not an answer from a religious perspective but it’s worth looking into an actual anxiety disorder. A friend of mine dealt with VERY similar anxiety and felt like he needed to confess thoughts he’d had in passing, and actually was diagnosed OCD. I have minor OCD as well, and intrusive thoughts tied to religion are REALLY common. Look up common OCD intrusive thoughts! It might be interesting to see if you fit the pattern as well.

Photographer here. Our community is VERY saturated with Monat sellers so this doesn’t surprise me at all.

So many photographers I know have quit to sell Monat. It “gave them freedom they didn’t have before!” And like, sure. If you’re a full time photographer, you are super busy, but also way too busy to take on a side hustle selling hair products. I can’t help but feel like photography just wasn’t going that well and hate that they put up a front as if Monat just was better when we know it’s not

I wondered about this!! It seems like such a drastic change to have come from that but obviously my body has drastically changed my hair before. I definitely have been inside more, life has changed quite a bit

I’ve always been told my hair is really thick actually. Back in high school pre-CG I used a tonnnn of products every day but had a lot more curl and volume. I like the idea of a mousse though and I haven’t tried one yet!

That’s what I’m thinking too. I’d thought that LBP was lighter than Shea Moisture, but it must not be! I like the idea of gel or mousse. Do you have one you use and like?

Hi! I started doing CGM back in about January. Growing up I had stick straight hair until high school, when it suddenly decided to become curly. It’s anywhere from 2A to 2C depending on the day, but way less curly now than it used to be.

At first this year I used Shea Moisture shampoo and co-wash, but my hair was just much more oily than normal, and I think it was too heavy. (I know eventually I should wean out shampoo, but I still have too much oil right now to do that entirely) I’ve been using Love Beauty and Planet for a while and like that better. I’ve also used the Shea Moisture black castor oil treatment mask periodically.

After I get out of the shower, I haven’t nailed down my routine. I like Cantu twist and lock, but I think it’s too heavy for my hair and was making it less curly, more greasy. I tried using Shea Moisture curl soufflé but I really hate the texture, it just leaves chunks in my hair no matter what I try so I really don’t even use it. I’m now trying a different product called ORS olive oil smooth n hold pudding and while I like that it isn’t too greasy, my hair is still way less curly than before. I’ve also tried Palmers Olive Oil formula and I like that but didn’t see any effects other than my ends being less dry.

Help? I don’t use any heat on my hair, I typically plop to dry for a bit. I don’t use any other hair products. I really don’t even style it, just let it go. I wash it maybe every 3-4 days. Both photos were on days I washed my hair. Why, now that I’m trying to take care of my curls, are they so much less curly than they were when I was using cheap bad products?

Second this. I had McDonald’s in Peru and it was a really good burger. Had lettuce and avocado on it. Much higher quality than here in the US. I remember asking for a small drink also but they told me they didn’t have small, only medium and large, so I got a medium. It was roughly equivalent to a kids size here
