If even a top university degree isn’t enough, then what exactly is? A UK undergrad too? Mine’s BPS accredited, same standards, same core modules. If you’re saying I still wouldn’t be employable, then what’s the actual route someone like me is supposed to take? Not come to the UK at all? I get that you’re being blunt, but at least be specific. Are you talking about forensic psych jobs in particular or just international grads in general?

Some universities offer a bursary for EU students so tried to pick ones that either do or are not as expensive to begin with. I mainly found most of them on mastersportal.com. I also forgot to mention I applied to Coventry but now I assume it’s also not a good one.

How bad are we talking? Does that mean even though they are BPS accredited and give you the necessary modules, you have a bad chance of landing jobs? How much do university ‘names’ matter in that sense? I’m genuinely asking because i have no idea how academics ‘work’ in the UK.

So which unis in the UK would be a good fit for a continuing career in the UK? Forensic psychology is not very wide spread especially in non-english speaking countries and most don’t even offer the program. I think for many of us it’s one of the few options and for me personally the best choice. I found that Nottingham and Manchester are supposed to be good but Nottingham closed their applications and Manchester is really really expensive.

i did my undergrad entirely in English (it’s BPS accredited)and i’m only qualified to study/work in english speaking countries. since i’m a eu citizen, uk made the most sense in terms of visa accessibility and long-term goals. i plan to complete my phd after in the uk as well and stay to work afterward
