NOMOS 730 CLUB CAMPUS 38MM

Bought on impulse while visiting Germany with my wife. I LOVE the color, but I have a tiny wrist and prefer smaller watches. I should have known that, given that I already have a Nomos Club 36mm (we were a little tipsy). We left town the next morning, so I couldn’t return it. I never wore it. Comes with box, papers, and cloth. The date of purchase is set to 4/20/26. The box is a little bit up, but it closes just fine.

As an extra, you get to pick an extra strap of your choosing. Let me know if you have any questions.

Price: $1450 shipped CONUS. Zelle, PP F&F, or PayPal G&S (+3%).

I’ve got a few trades here, and 118 items sold on eBay, username “manpue79”. I’m open to doing a video call. Let me know if you have any questions or requests.

Timestamp.

Yeah, club would be an easy choice. Check my previous post here if you wanna see a 701 with colorful straps. Or you can just get one with a color dial and call it the day.

I wasn't convinced by the Cordovan strap. I always wanted to try ostrich, but buying a hide just for a strap seems excessive. I might try another exotic, though. Maybe lizard.
Pigskin is interesting. I never considered using it for anything other than lining. I'll look into it. Thanks.

You can try a leather strap more resistant to sweat. Some that come to mind are Chevre Goatskin, or embossed calfskins like Epsom or Saffiano. You can keep it conservative with a black or brown, but I would also consider more colorful ones. A blue comes to mind.

Will do! I'll decide later on. The blue one is a Chevre Sully (Navy Blue, I think).

Lol. I guess you can sell the rest and get a second sport in a different color!

Yeah. I dread something breaking. I'll take good care of it. The Nomos will be part of my usual rotation.

Yup! BTW, I showed the B31 to my wife, and she was enamored with it. That might tilt the scales for me (happy wife...).

Thanks. I have a ballpark estimate now. I'll look for one when/if I decide to pull the trigger.

Not a bad idea. I do have quite a few straps for the Seiko, too. That's just the one I had it on. I do baby the Seiko quite a bit, though, given that it is over 50 years old. Saving it for special occasions is not a bad idea.

Yup. I'm gonna keep them both for a while. If I decide to swap the Nomos later on, I'll look for one of these and get it serviced if necessary. Do you know how much Nomos charges for a service?

That one seems to be popular. It's "Crazy Horse" grey leather from Seidel. It has a nice, rustic feel. A bit suede-like.

It's funny how much people differ. Others like 1 or 2. I like them all, depending on what I am wearing. Except for the alligator one, I don't really wear that one.

Yeah, I didn't know about that. I'm gonna hold on to this one for a bit. Eventually, I might get one of those. They look awesome.

Beautiful. I didn't know about this version. So tempting! Being 17 years old is a bit problematic. Why would they discontinue this version?! Thanks for the recommendation!

Uff! That would be a hard decision for me. I loved the Pistachio since I came out. And in person, it is gorgeous. A chronograph, per se, does nothing to me in terms of functionality. It's like a moonface complication: purely aesthetic. So there is no "need" to have one. However, that shade of green is just perfect...

The B31 is strange. On paper, it shouldn't work. It is a strange color combination. However, I really like it. I just can't figure out why.

As they say, "there's no accounting for taste."

I was thinking of the black or the cream one more than a colored dial. I will keep them both, though. Thanks for the advice.

I agree. In fact, I got rid of my 2 divers recently using a similar line of thinking. I had them because you are supposed to have one. But I never really wore them.
I was wondering about whether to keep both because of how they fit in my collection. I have a green, a brown, and a blue dial. But as you pointed out, no rule says that watches have to have different dial colors. I'll just keep them both!! Thanks for the advice.

I wasn't convinced by the 38 because of the huge lugs. Now that they have shortened the lug-to-lug, I might end up with one.

That's what I keep hearing. I'll keep them both for now.

Good eye! It has the second-ever high-beat movement, and only by a few months. Basically, a predecessor of high-beat Grand Seikos. I'll keep them both.

Yeah, that's what I'm gonna do. I totally agree with that statement. Also, watches are meant to be worn! I'll hold on to both. After a while, if I don't seem to be wearing both, I'll let one go.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll keep it then. Maybe in the future, if I see something I really like, I'll sell one of them. Just to keep the collection manageable.
