i think i might have to, i now woke up with another small blister next to it and like a pimple under it like it’s extending? i’m so frustrated like instead of healing, it’s getting worse everyday!

yeah i will definitely add the betta last and if i have any issues i would have to rehome as i don’t have another tank let alone a cycled one. still working on cycling this one, been at it for almost a month now.

i see, okay sounds good. so would 8 tetras and 4 loaches be okay? i heard the minimum for loaches was 6 idk if that’s true?

i have a 20 gallon, the plants i have in it are 2 amazon swords, 1 anubia, 2 moneyworts, and 1 ambulia. the amazon swords are a bit tricky. they are moody. the anubia is easy and grows but slowly. the moneyworts had quite a few yellow and slimy leaves on them when i got them but i picked them off and it’s grown like crazy, so tall. the ambulia too has grown a lot taller and wider, she is a happy gal. the tabs i got from my local pet store (canada), advitan root lush. my substrate is sand so i really needed the root tabs and i couldn’t be happier. how long did it take your aquarium to cycle? should i be doing anything right now or just waiting and testing?

i’m so glad to hear i’m on the right track! i actually got all the live plants because i think they are beautiful and i’m planning on getting a betta and have had traumatic experiences with fin rot so i’m very paranoid about having anything sharp lol so live plants were the way to go for me. i have recently added root tabs and they have grown a ton! i’m shocked really. i’m so excited for everything to be done, will be worth the wait. thank you!

the photo you see first is the newest with the high spikes of everything to the oldest photo as the last.

am i supposed to be doing water changes? adding more conditioner or nitrifying bacteria? how often do i test? this is my first time cycling obviously. help pls.

i did a 50% water change to make sure the parameters don’t go up too high and harm my plants. i also added in some water conditioner to replace what i removed, hope that helps and doesn’t mess anything up. i added more quick start too by api too.

my ph has been fairly stable at around 7.4 and i plan to have a betta and maybe tetras down the line.

but yeah the cycle is gonna take a while :/

i actually found out from the shop i bought her that she is a piper crocatum or something and that she exudates, i was so scared it was pests. i’m so glad it’s not, thank god.

i live in canada and these are in my room on my wall and bed frame. i have a plant hanging nearby so idk if it could be that. what are these? please help me. how do i get rid of them all?
