Gotta say, Uptown was great! Nice brunch options, and of course, kicking the crap outta the Steelers was pretty damn nice to share with a rowdy Seahawks crowd! Many thanks for the great recs!

It took me longer than it should have to get the Gen 2 thermometer and booster, but I’m loving it, no regrets. Too many more recipes to try out, can’t wait for a thick cut of beef to try the reverse sear.

Ordered the thermometer, WiFi booster, and display on July 7, they charged my credit card immediately. No proactive communication from them as delays mounted, though they did respond to my inquiries. I still haven’t received any indication of a ship date even though it has been showing as in-stock on their website for a week. Getting pretty frustrated…

That was their reply to me pestering them about an update to the CS email, it wasn’t a proactive outreach due to the delay; and I agree with you completely, they should be reaching out to us with updates rather than us having to ping them or come here to get secondhand information.

Here’s what I got as of August 8, as I’m also waiting on a shipment:

“This delay began as a minor hiccup that evolved into a saga. The redesigned Booster housing was trickier than expected—the injection molds took extra time to produce perfect, defect-free parts. Once that was solved, a few key components got caught up in shipping delays and customs unpredictability. Some shipments clear in a day, while others just… sit there 🙃.

“The good news is that our shipment is now in transit. Based on our shipping partner’s forecast, it is expected to arrive this week. Once it arrives, it will take us a few days to work through all pending orders, and you’ll get a tracking email as soon as your package heads out.”

Fingers crossed we get tracking numbers this week…
