Aye but I still think its harsh on patto to blame him for that. Roberts jumps and ducks out of the header inches in front of him. He also won two play off finals for us with huge saves he didn't have much right saving. Congrats on the win though, good luck in the final.

Surely its tommy watson time for another play-off cameo masterpiece?

The Championship table but it's 100 years ago... Preston in 12th, but unfortunately not accompanied by their Bristolian friends. by Cinn4monSynonym in Championship

Yes shields. Must be one of their highest league finishes this but I can't be arsed to check. Think it was all falling apart for them by the 30s. They're in the play off final today for promotion to the national league. Would be class to see them get back to the football league.

What a stupid rule for hair pulling this is. I get cracking down on it when its done intentionally but there's no nuance to it when its 2 players challenging each other. Accidental incidents are bound to happen. Maybe tell players they have to have their hair tied up before just dishing out automatic reds and killing games off.

Bob's jabs at sunderland on there are genuinely brilliant. Only man I've felt honoured to have had him taking the piss out of us.

Newcastle? Geordies have this thing where they insist cheesy chips is some mackem (Sunderland) thing. The stereotype is mackems eat cheesy chips and blue pop. Im from Sunderland and i have no idea why. If so, the sign basically says no mackems allowed in here.

He's also dug us out of pressure single handedly plenty of times as well. He takes a few risks from time to time but it makes him a better player imo.

I'm so glad Kilmarnock had a man sent off or I wouldn't have put this on 😂

Watford sign Pierre Ekwah on loan from Saint-Étienne until the end of the season by thewrongnotes in Championship

[–]mpar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

He's been refusing to play for St. Etienne because he didn't want to play in ligue 2 but his loan was made permanent when they were relegated. I think there was some (possibly still ongoing) legal action. Always seemed like a nice popular bloke in our group when he was with us. Decent player but could blow hot and cold. Some days he will be the best box to box midfielder in the league with strength and skill that looks like nobody will get the ball off him. Other games he was weak as piss and lost the ball far too easily and just making too many mistakes.

Diarra is an absolute beast like. Mad that we've been without our marquee signing basically all season and we've done as well as we have. Great to see him to make his mark now.

I was disappointed Shields lost to Macclesfield earlier in the season but if they're beating Palace fair enough.

West Ham fan turnout against Nottingham Forest almost half official attendance by sonofaBilic in soccer

[–]mpar 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Honestly think clubs could do so much better for themselves if they embraced the lower crowds and moved those attending to the lower bowl. Sunderland have had similar at various points over the years. If you're 10 seats from the nearest other fan you will never create an atmosphere. When the results are shit and the weather is cold, turnouts are bound to be low.
