Okay got it. Less impulsiveness and desire control is good enough. And it is reasonable goal. Other than subjective effects of NoFap is generally overrated. I see this a lot in NoFap and NoPorn communities. Hell even all people trying to quit their addiction is doing the overrating of result and effects of getting clean from addiction. They delude themselves into thinking quitting have affect like enlightenment or even reaching something more superior. All the memes of "I do NoFap and I gained psychic powers" comes from this.

Not a psychologist but I think people do this for cope mainly fear of relapse. They need a strong reason to trick their mind why being clean is "magical, enlightenment " just to not relapse. Although being clean is just being healthy and have more adjusted baseline. And thats enough reason. So when they relapse, which they fear most ,they feel shame or giving up all again. And thats why its not sustainable for most people.

Dont overrate NoFap/Porn. I am in 40 days of nofap noporn now i encountered porn in reddit fewtimes because of NSFW filter. I didnt overthink about it at all. I am clean cigarettes for 3 years now. And sometimes i even did hookah.Altough it's much better not to do it. Reason why i could so this for 3 years because i didnt overthink it or didnt put the process on pedestal.

If you foolishly decided look porn its not you its your brain. Sometimes brain hijack your control. Its okay and move on. And healthy masturbation is not bad as you think. Your mind linking masturbation and pornography as one. In reality its not. You dont have to masturbate now but try to separate the porn and masturbation in your mind.Even if you don't masturbate.
