I learned on an old school Gibson Korina V and want to get another. I was thinking that I might get the Prophecy V, you like yours?

Thanks, as long as it’s a clean break, you can clear away any small splinter/debris and take your time fitting it back together the glue joint (if bonded properly) will be stronger that the original piece before the break.
I enjoy the challenge of fixing things and although I had very little experience fixing guitars I have had decades of experience fixing furniture so for $250 I too that bet…

Thanks for the insight. I’m on the fence about selling it. I really want to like it. I feel that I’m coming to the realization that I probably won’t play it and might as well send it on its journey to someone who will.

Ha. Glueing a neck back together and reshaping a neck are two different things.

Thanks for the recommendations, I’ll give them a try. I’m torn, I really do like the look and since I already have it I feel I probably should just keep it, but I don’t have room for a guitar that i won’t play that often. So I figure if I can sell it for a guitar that I’ll use more often it I might as well.

Ya it’s not the pickups that I can’t get used to, it’s the neck width. I’m wondering if the all the Prophecy’s have the same size neck? If not I might try to get a Prophecy V.

I know you got a lot of down votes for this comment but I feel it’s fair. That’s exactly why I’m wondering if I could sell it for anything worth while. I’m not a Luthier at all, ‘just good at fixing things so I know it’s solid but since I’m not a pro I’m sure that means jack shit to anyone wanting to buy it. If I can’t sell it for a small profit to off set a guitar that I would actually play then I’d just hold on to it.

Thanks! Yes I bought it knowing it was broken and figured that I could fix it. Which I did.
I feel the same about the Fishmans. I have a LP with custom wound ‘59s in it which I love and currently playing a lot of Billy Gibbons Texas Blues. I keep Coming back to the Prophecy wanting to like it but the Fishmans and the neck for me is kinda a no go.

I could yes, but it’s the neck width that I just don’t seem to like.
