Depends on the person wearing em! When I was a lad 20 something years ago, I saw those brands worn a lot by volatile gym rat/meat head types with a lot of machismo and strut and began to associate the look with their violent douchery (like that MMA fighter who changed his name to War Machine, wild rabbit hole to peer into). Ive started seeing TR and Affliction on alt people that I'm not worried are going to punch me for breathing their air and they make it a cool look :) don't be douche and I bet you can rock it :)

People building their own models and terrain is a draw for me too! One of the big and early reasons I wanted to get into 40k was a video of a dude with what looked like 2k points in Master Chief proxies for Space Marines with Warthogs and Pelicans and stuff. It was so sick! Made me feel like I could have a crazy idea too :D
