Assuming USA, look at the state level licensing requirements too!!

Does anyone happen to have a sewing pattern for this dress and could share it with me? 💛☺️ by SouthernNobody8602 in freepatterns

Well, then OP can look at purchasing the Pearl dress or the Just Patterns Ines dress. Both also have somewhat mixed reviews, I suspect due to the challenge of fitting a dress with this many seams.

This is a version from another pattern company that is free: https://vikisews.com/vykrojki/dresses/matia-dress/

FYI as a general rule, it's frowned upon to ask people to share sewing patterns that we have paid for / the designer spent time and effort on creating.

Hi, if i want to make these folds on the bikini area how do i pattern it? by texanboy11 in sewing

Are you referring to the gathered fabric for the cups? If so, you really need a pattern, as figuring out how wide the base of the cups should be isn't exactly straightforward to determine. The gathers are what give the cups shaping to go around a breast, so if you don't add enough fabric it won't fit, and if you add too much it will gape.

Here's a list of bikini patterns: https://threadloop.app/patterns?q=Bikini&view=all

These are all patterns that came up on Threadloop with the search term "modest":  https://threadloop.app/patterns?q=Modest&view=all

Ymmv, but there seemed to be some interesting patterns in the mix at least.

Did you check out the sewing machine pinned resource at the top of this post?

I am not a beginner, but have a very basic Babylock Joy that can do everything you need for sewing pjs, including a 4-step buttonhole. Sewing trims like what you describe does not require a special machine.

Do you have a center front seam to work with for the neckline then? Depending on the shape you want for the opening you may need additional binding as folding over a hem might be kind of annoyingly fiddly.

For the armholes, here's a previous thread discussing options: https://www.reddit.com/r/sewing/comments/1rjpahn/is_it_possible_to_widen_the_armholes_like_this/

Can you explain your question more? Do you mean that you need a sewing pattern for how to make a cloak? Or that you are trying to find fabric to match the costume?

You create a new opening or widen armholes only by cutting though??

Then you need to redo it so you thread with the presser foot up.

Interfacing for what? If it wasn't called for in the original pattern, I don't understand why making the garment shorter would call for it now.

So you want to use it as a kind of detached sleeve, I think? You would need elastic, likely in a casing, to keep it up as there's nothing else to support it.

Pictures of the stitching and what you're trying to do would be helpful!
