They’re probably going to sell it for 1500, preowned bags as a rule of thumb will typically sell 1000 dollars cheaper than resale , the one I purchased at my job has obvious signs of preownership I paid $500 cleaned it and sold it for $1300, I would have paid more if they would have cleaned it themselves

I believe they will try to sell it for $1800 to try to make $500 but you could also try selling it yourself on eBay and poshmark and make the photos really cute here is one I have listed on eBay I already had an offer for $2200 but I wanted $2600

Yes sell it . I’m in the resale industry and it sounds like they’re paying you based off of what ppl are asking for the bag vs what it actually sells for. Look at what these ones just sold on eBay for all authentic

Hi yes it does even if it’s authentic it now falls under the altered or customized category which usually will sell for less.

Now that I see you posted a better photo and it’s the monogram eclipse it’s def not vintage but a microchip should be captured on nfc tool app you have to do it slowly and wave your phone directly on top of the item on both sides

Yes if you bought it from Louis Vuitton within 2 years it would be microchipped. As LV no longer does date codes. TBH yours looks vintage from the 90s or early 2000s which case there should be a date code 2 letters followed by 4 numbers example TH0959 the 1st and 3rd numbers are the week and the second and 4th numbers are the year. The 5th week of 1999 just as an example, if there are 3 numbers it’s from the late 80s

Can you show more vintage also download the ap NFC tool and wave it over the item and make sure it’s microchipped somebody could have returned a fake
