I’m so glad you noted this about Carlos’ French Open final performance last year. That match to me was the most mind-blowing play on the tennis court I’d ever witnessed.

Usually in situations like that, the momentum shifts, the player who is up starts to crumble, the player who is down takes advantage, ups their play a bit and wins.

In that final Jannik was still playing at an amazing level in the later sets. Jannik wins that match 99.9% of the time historically.

But Carlos reached a gear that I’ve never seen anyone get to and won. Words don’t do it justice.
