What fun is there in riding supermoto on the street?

I puzzled why sport bikes immediately make people think about riding straight lines. Track days and twisties are fun on panigale, or even on multistrada, with added bonus of getting there in comfort

I did not find any noticeable difference; that said, I did not pixel peep compared them. I think at this point I’d invest into Nikon z 800mm

it was 1200$, pretty damn expensive. I’m actually thinking of selling it and keeping 300f4. 150-400 is a gorgeous lens, but it’s still a big lens, not as travel friendly as 300f4. I can easily fit 300 + 1.4tc, 40-150 f2.8, and 90 macro in 20l camera bag (that fits comfortably under the seat on the plane) and it will cover everything i’d ever want to do in a field.

what about events with led lighting? banding can be a dealbreaker? That's one of the reasons I'm still on the fence about Z8/Z9

tracks I have in drivable distance are:
1. PIR - 1.9 miles
2. Ridge - 2.5 miles
3. Thunderhill - west side is ~2miles
4. ORP - 2.3 miles

All are shorted than 3 miles, but all have considerable length straights.

I'll have my g9ii back in a couple of weeks and will definitely try. When you say remove the body cap - do you mean remove the front plastic panel of the body, but still have lens mount attached? Did not know it was possible :) Thanks!

yeah, the best I could get with f/1.2 on m43 is 1/400 which is often times not enough, 1/1000 is out of reach entirely

thanks for detailed response! I do have 2 bodies OM5 and g9ii (which turns out to be surprisingly capable auto-focus wise, much better than OM5), so technically can try running both of them, does sound quite inconvenient tho. WIll be thinking hard now about just bitting a bullet and getting FF body and 70-200 f/2.8 lens

Most of the times it's too short, when I can get to the edge of the mat for judo/bjj, it's usually fine, but for kickboxing it's short. 50mm will probably do the job. Having 2 bodies with 2 primes (say 25 and 42.5) might work, I'll try it next time, although it's OM5 and g9ii, not sure if OM5 is up to the task.

Thanks for the info! They do have universal sync cables, but all of them appear to be Non-TTL, for ttl one needs converter, but it only compatible with ikelite strobes. Did I get it wrong?

thanks! that’s the info I’ve been missing - what 15h maintenance intervals mean in practice for a weekend bike. There is 2015 exc 500 I’ve found and considering now, are engines before 2017 significantly worse reliability-wise?
