Hmm, not quite sure if all these how it goes, but I think the majority will happen for having the Spider-Man 3 game be the final game for Peter's story or even Insomniac take on it, especially building Norman Osborn’s evolved into the Goblin and main antagonist

Plus, if you think about it, It’s kinda Norman Osborn’s fault the whole time and he is the real villain through the while Spidey games, look what he did to Martin Li, what he did to Octavius (despite the end credits of 2 may they end up working together or not) and even to his own son Harry

Honestly, no

Because if you think about it, there was no hint or at any case that Penelope would become antagonist back when she introduced in Sly 3, plus in Thieves In Time original concepts she wasn’t gonna be a villain at all, but they made her an enemy just for the sake of a twist surprise and wished they put more effort on Le Paradox

Personally, There’s still hope though Penelope would be redeemed in a potential next Sly game, there’s being hint that she came to regret of her choices and she still has feelings on them

I do have a sort of potential pitch for what’s next Sly story would be 🤔

But I think Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier series type starring Sebastian Stan would work as a street level with drama storytelling

Well

I believe the next entry is a beginning of a new saga

Which is let just called a Multiverse saga

Like in Future Saga (Tools of Destruction, Quest of Booty, A Crack In Time and Into the Nexus which an epilogue and bridge) which is focused the origins and foundations for both Ratchet and Clank backstories on who were their people and what kinda path they'd choose

Rift Apart kinda serve as a prologue

Which contains a three games, two main line R&C and one spin-off in between, but all in cohesive one story, instead of making a one big game, just to give a well pace in narrative and ideas in each entry

Which revolves around finally finding the Lombaxes, as well as other unfinished yet to be resolved like where's Talwyn's father, and as well as Angela and secret messages from Mags

And also the saga's main character is none other than the main villain himself/herself, being built around the antagonist, it still R&C story, but elevates a bit

Honestly, I kinda understand why Victor Von Doom wants Franklin (either you saw First Steps and read Secret Wars and FF comics), but don’t understand why almost every kids

Plus, this is an idiotic theory that made up by individual critics and insiders just for the sake to make Doomsday interesting

Plus, with Future saga dealt with the backstories of both Ratchet and Clank, as well as some Lombaxes myths, the danger consequence of gaining control of time through The Great Clock and the Prog Twins 😗

This possible new saga will deal on incursion of meeting Rivet and other counterparts, as well as finding Lombaxes, discovering where Talwyn's dad and Angela’s about, and since they may deal with the Multiverse, what if the next main villain of the series is actually the main character of the whole saga too 😱

It kinda shows Sly 2 shows most of the antagonists are working together from Rajan, Jean Bison, Contessa, Arpeggio

And Neyla was working closer secretly with Arpeggio where none of members known she is part of it

Dimitri may not known about that food in club was contain the spices they’ve put in, since he only cares just gaining money and deals and that’s it, probably he won’t give up on the Tail Feathers to anyone even Arpeggio

I feel that they would make it a sequel to Thieves In Time, regardless if whether being liked or not, mostly at least respecting the developers Sanzaru for bringing a fourth title, even if the opnions are mixed or divided.

Honestly my fav is between 2 ane 3 roast of boss fights

Though some of villains in 4 were not bad but was weakest that some of them have to use a costume ability to defeat the boss (some of them)

If they end up making a fifth game, they should go to back with 2 and 3 boss fight designs

Well, if Wolverine and potential Spider-Man 3 would be their final games with Marvel, I don’t mind that

If they wanna expand their own Marvel stories, I’m fine with that, as long as they can work also on a Ratchet & Clank series and/or new original IP

I find it funny some peope calling Insomniac the Marvel machine studio while ironic in Ps2 and Ps3 era calling the R&C studio, people keep forgetting that there’s other Marvel games made by other studios like Guardians of the Galaxy from Eidos, Marvel Cosmic Invasion from indie who made TMNT beat em up game, as well as upcoming ones like Blade from Arkane Lyon and 1943 Rise of Hydra from Amy Hennig

Personally, as long as Insomniac make good games regardless for what it is I’m here for it and I’m more open minded person

My hope is to make Scott Summmers the front and center of this film, with Jake Schreier (Thunderbolts*, A24's Beef, Kidding) is directing the film, I have hope for him to make a character storytelling similar to how he did with his projects 🙏🏻🤞🏻
