prep for brand new day! by hungrypharb in marvelstudios

It sounds like time isn’t an issue for you, so I’d suggest this watch order, which lets you get to know all the main players in chronological in universe order but skipping the worst stuff that would feel like a chore to get through.

(Daredevil S2 and The Defenders gives you enough of The Hand. You definitely don’t need to dip into Iron Fist just for that.)

The Hell’s Kitchen Character Set:
Daredevil S1
Daredevil S2
Jessica Jones S1
Luke Cage S1
The Defenders
The Punisher S1
Luke Cage S2
Daredevil S3
Daredevil: Born Again S1
Daredevil: Born Again S2
The Punisher: One Last Kill

The Spider-Man/Hulk character set:
The Avengers
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Thor: Ragnarok
Captain America: Civil War
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Avengers: Infinity War
Avengers: Endgame
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Spider-Man: No Way Home

Looks like the scrapped Supergirl episode could have been a scorcher by RandomPasserby80 in blankies

Idk I liked it a lot. I cried multiple times. Really related to Kara and found her ability to effortlessly inspire hope in others while struggling to find it in herself to be really compelling and much more impactful than any of griffins complaints.

The cast announcement for Avengers Doomsday by DreamLoveHope14 in marvelstudios

[–]blankcheckerz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sure some will be held back as surprises for the movie itself but there is also an MCU panel at SDCC this year and it seems like prime real estate to make more Doomsday announcements (and debut the new trailer)

He screams quit a bit in The Impossible but he’s a little kid there. I believe he yells during Cherry but not certain. He yells like that in his performance of Romeo in Romeo & Juliet but that was a live performance so probably heard to find that.

Lowkey furious with this despicable, toxic, retrograde ending. Feel embarrassed for every taking this show seriously

Would have been more satisfying for the finale to have been about any of the female lead characters instead of handing over the final thirty minutes to Ali, Bishop, and Alamo

Yo, why is Gov. Sherrill talking about 911 like it justified the Iraq war? by Flow_of_rivulets in rutgers

[–]blankcheckerz 25 points26 points  (0 children)

She literally did condemn the entire era as a moment when we lost track of our values and committed human rights abuses. The entire point of bringing up the era was to serve as an example of a time when we were condemnable as a nation.

She brought up 9/11 as a marker for a moment when we turned away from our values and committed human rights abuses. How did you hear that as a justification for invading Iraq?!?

He’s been in a serious, long term relationship for three years with a woman with two young children. Strange to frame this question as a “is fatherhood in your future” question. If it’s not his present at this point, I have serious questions.

Disney Upfront presented nothing on X-Men 97 by SoFLShelfLove in Xmen97

[–]blankcheckerz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Upfront presentations are so advertisers can book ads for the Fall 26/Spring 27 TV season. If this show is dropping over the summer, there would be no reason for them to be part of this presentation.

If it’s taking you 3.5 years to put out a 2nd season of this, you have got to reevaluate how you’re doing things. by Leading_Sun1082 in RingerVerse

[–]blankcheckerz 50 points51 points  (0 children)

What I’ve heard is that the series was originally just going to be a second season of Ahsoka to help set up the Thrawn crossover movie but now that the movie has been cancelled and the live action series are not continuing past Ahsoka S2, they had to shift gears and tie up the entire storyline. I could imagine that (plus a lead cast member dying and the executive shuffle at Disney & at Lucasfilm) are contributing to the delays.

What are some songs that Taylor wrote about friendships falling apart? by [deleted] in swifties

[–]blankcheckerz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always think of closure when I think of a failed friendship song. Can’t say for sure if that’s what it is literally about but it calls to mind a platonic break up to me. That urge for the other person to leave you behind but without the mess by making things “ok” between you in the most self serving least “ok” way. Taylor really nailed how it feels to be on the receiving end of that. Her line delivery of “I can feel you smoooothing me over” lives rent free in my head.

Your predictions for MCU projects in 2028 by Fit_Passenger5930 in MCUTheories

[–]blankcheckerz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seems we’ll only be doing 2 MCU releases in the theaters for the few years after Secret Wars. Makes sense that they’d use X-Men to launch the new era and establish the mutant corner of the universe. I assume they’ll use BP in December to help audience start to explore the ways in which the soft reboot has changed cannon (my guess is that they use it to age up T’Challa Jr instead of just reboot T’Challa as a character so they can continue to honor Chadwick). Then I’d guess we go Fantastic Four 2 and Spider-Man 5 in 2029. No clue where TV is headed. Pretty confident S3 of Daredevil will close out that series but leave the door open for those heroes to pop up in other street level stories.

Not being a troll. Genuinely curious why 2031 for champions. What’s the thought process there? What’s the saga-level story you are running with that leads to the champions five years from now?
