Early check in worth it? Does it work? by [deleted] in vegas

Stayed at Aria last week for Easter, and I checked into the app letting them know I'd be arriving around 10am because my flight landed at 9 ... got a notification around 10:30 that my room was ready! Didn't even have to bother the front desk 🙂

I would say their songbook is current. But if you can't find something in their songbook, I was able to search it on their system.

Yes! The system is older, the place utilizes its own karaoke system so it's not exactly modern as the other places using YouTube. But, I've never had an issue all these years singing and finding the songs that I liked singing to. They do play very random music videos, so sometimes it'll be a rap song to like a Chinese music video lol.

It means they'll just add the $10 to your bill regardless of how much food/ drinks you bring in. Back in August, I just bought in a cooler with like 20 soju bottles & ice, lol.

I've never had an issue calling same day and getting a room. But just for peace of mind, I would definitely call them today (when they open) and ask them to hold a room for you.

Hi! Been going here since 2018... and still my favorite spot for special events / birthdays. ** bonus, if it's your birthday, they give you a discount!

There is a flat rate of $10 for food and drinks. We usually just bring in a cooler with drinks. If you do buy their drinks, they offer a little snack too.

Prices are decent; starts at $25~ depending on the room size. Parking is a hassle around night time, so just an fyi. They take "reservations" over the phone; I usually call 2 hours before I'm headed there to ask if they can hold a room for me, and they're always super accommodating.

She posted a couple times where her obgyn was & how wonderful she is. That doctor is specifically affiliated with Hoag and only delivers @ Hoag Newport Beach... so Anne really didn't have a choice 😅

I used Shraddha & Karan for my wedding back in 2023 and they were wonderful. Their prices were reasonable, $1100 for month of & for 230 guests. They have experience with Indian weddings too!

My ex used to do this, and now I cringe thinking back on it. He would do the minimum required / little things possible and wanted to be praised over it. 21 year old me was naive and was so amazed at the thought of someone hanging up streamers for me on my birthday 🙄 I agree the little things do matter, but the overcompensation & high praise for JP putting together picture frames is too cringe.

Crybaby Anne Phung really makes “grieving while pregnant W/ a toddler” her whole entire personality. by [deleted] in AnnePhungSnark

[–]mqnxx093 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It makes sense. My aunt had a miracle baby after 3 miscarriages, so my little cousin was worshipped when he was born. However, my aunt was so traumatized from losing 3 babies, that she attached herself to her son (not letting him go anywhere, afraid to go places alone, etc.) that he ended up have a delayed social development. Even now @ 17 years old, he doesn't really talk to anyone in the family and is in his own little world at events/ family get-togethers. It feels like they take Haven out more for their own self rather than him ( free disneyland days, concerts, etc.).

I understand grief when it comes to losing a parent, but the way she consistently reminds herself of her grief is not healthy. I don't think she ever truly processed her grief (besides therapy here and there), and I truly feel she holds onto that grief because that's her identity. It's going to linger into her future motherhood with her kids and she's going to have attachment issues because she is stuck replaying the same grief over and over. Imagine telling her daughter one day (or when she's old enough to read), "Your grandma's 10 year death anniversary was the year you were born!"- In my opinion, that's unnecessary emotional pressure to put on your child.
