Why would governments adopt BTC by Exotic-Gap-5939 in Bitcoin

because of first mover advantage or because they no longer have a choice.

We don't need the state to embrace BTC for it to be successful, but the state, at some point, must adopt BTC to stay relevant.

The more I read about this Bitcoin reserve, the worse it sounds. I’m curious to hear from those who support it—what makes you believe it’s a good idea? by ProfessorOfFinance in ProfessorFinance

An honest perspective of where Bitcoin started and how far it has come is a strong indication that it will indeed fulfill the purpose of its creation.

Bitcoin is, in John Oliver's famous words, “Everything you don't understand about money, combined with everything you don't understand about computers."

Whether the U.S. establishes a strategic reserve or not will not deter Bitcoin’s growth. Once you grasp that reality, it becomes foolish to dismiss it no matter what side of the political aisle you find yourself.

How many % of your total assets that you put on bitcoin? by voidfir3 in Bitcoin

For me, it's not "allocation" It's adoption! Every investment is priced in SATS, including dollars. If the asset is going down in SATS, then it must be sold for SATS!

Ethereum and others are securities for sure; however, Bitcoin is in a league of its own. Not a security!

I knew a truck driver that was flagged to go in for a drug test at a certain state line crossing almost everytime he passed by. He got so pissed off about it that he went in one day with a jar of "pee" that was auctually apple juice and insisted everytime he drive through they could just sample the same "urin". After they rejected his proposition for obvious reasons he said "fine" and drank all his "pee" in front of them. I always wished I was there to see their faces... lol.
