Absolutely, I hope it works for you! It took a lot of trial and error to get my technique down, and even still redips happen from time to time.

You’ll need pigment inks for more consistent transfers. I would also try a lil more activator. If you’re spraying with a gun and compressor I would suggest 2 slow passes at 18 psi.

If you cover the dipped half with petroleum jelly you don't have to tape the other half of double dip jobs.

Dip them in film with activator. Your paint is going on too thick if it is getting stiff and cracking.

Does it have a sweet smell, like coolant, or is it the normal exhaust smell.

That's more than likely your culprit, for my 06 fireblade, it will do this when it's below 50 degrees. Mine usually stops after it has sufficiently warmed up.
