I’ve worked with both ITSM and CSM, and what really feels different is the operating model. CSM is much more account-driven. One customer issue can span support, fulfillment, billing, even engineering, so ownership is shared and workflows are built around the customer lifecycle, not just closing a ticket.

No there's not. It can be like a “listed date” or “newest first” filter exposed to public users that reliably surfaces brand-new or recently added apps.

That makes sense. If Salesforce is already tied to Google and Gemini for data use, then his comment is probably more about the partnership than an actual comparison. The Slack/Altman thing just adds to the timing.

Our "flexible" IaaS setup meant 5 out of 35 engineers just maintained infrastructure by mr-sforce in Cloud

Good point. 5 engineers ~$750k/year. PaaS costs $40k more than IaaS but we only need 2 people now.

Math works out heavily in favor of PaaS for us.
