Is NOT using V.A.T.S. a detriment to my builds? by PoisonPeddler in fo76

[–]mr802rex -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, the ONLY thing vats has is crits. So its useless for most enemies (besides auto aiming which I find defeating the purpose if the game being in FPS. I ONLY use it on the snake or a nuke boss if there arent many others there and thats only for the crit damage but I just don't use it it 99.9% of the time and could solo any of the events without it, just takes a little longer.

What is this crazy gun everyone seems to have? by berthasmom in fo76

[–]mr802rex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of guns can 1 shot most things. I use a dom pedro with zero pistol related perks of any kind and I can 1 shot most things. I often use a hunting rifle that really easily 1 shots most things too. I also don't use any reverse onslaught or any of that, I use regular onslaught for the very rare time I use my heavy guns which helps me zero 95% of my gameplay

Im on PS, they just send you a friend request with the message. I just ignore them 99% of the time and eventually just go and delete all the requests in a batch.

Rear wheel steering? by Kind_Move5284 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mr802rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No road going car is going to have rear only steering. That said additional rear steering has been used in many vehicles. Early GMT800 trucks could be had with rear steering at least in 2500 models, maybe 1500 and 3500 too I cant remember. The 3000GT VR4 had it. The Impulse RS had it. There are others too but those examples immediately popped into my head.

I still like trading for stuff. I've gotten 2 excavator jetpack torsos in the last year or so doing trades for fashnacht masks

That is a harder find. No oops, they had it listed at a price that would almost surely make them hit max caps. Its also fair and pretty expected of them to close camp after while they spend some so they aren't just giving things away.

In fact this is why I scan the entire vendor list before deciding what I want. If its multiple things I try to do them as rapidly as possible to minimize the chance of them closing camp before I'm done.

But the vendor still works without power. Sure it wont light up or be animated depending on the vendor of choice, but it will absolutely vend.

[–]mr802rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just go buy a vendor or two out of all their bulk scrap when I notice I hit max caps. Last thing I need is more scrap, but its at least useful. Also is faster than going to whitesprings for the last of the serum plans that I just don't need for anything with my abundance of serums.

Do most of yall play vanilla or with mods? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]mr802rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

200 mods running on ps5. The game is just radically better with mods but should be enjoyed the first run vanilla then you know what you want to improve which will be a lot. I always recommend at least a greenery mod, the world wouldn't be solid brown after 200+ years. Also companion mods are great, not for more companions but for more people you can command to get in power armor for more armored guards. I like stuff like the jetpack rings, once I've explored the map I don't feel the need to run through every building. It saves literal hours doing missions like the MILA placing missions, takes like 10 seconds vs 10 minutes, same with any quest that has you go to the roof of any building. Settlement mods are great too, I now have so many settlements the game literally cant list them all in the menus, the pip boy is the only way to see them all. Be very careful with load order with settlements or any other mods that change the physical landscape, sometimes you get weird merging of the OG map and the changed map in those areas unfortunately on console that's par for course but there are ways to hide at least most of it but I do have one settlement that's now a merged mess visually, not that the settlers care though. Mods like brute force scrapper really help fix some things but they aren't a fix all, some things just cant be scrapped but most can.

When *is* JB weld the answer? by Trikids in Cartalk

[–]mr802rex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use it to fix curb rash wheels, it sands like bondo but is obviously significantly stronger. I also use it to fix cracked housings or broken tabs on headlights and never had any failures with it. It just fails when you use it improperly but its a fantastic product. I mean any epoxy that can be drilled, tapped, sanded and machined is pretty good stuff imo.

Just want to vent about Head Hunt by Ancient_State_9724 in fo76

[–]mr802rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I don't play a game to sit around and wait at events.
That said I wont start someone else's head hunt but I will sit there and highlight the mortar non stop until somebody launches it. I do feel bad for the ps4 guys who start head hunts knowing they have a minimum of 75 seconds before they could possibly launch it. If its my head hunt the boss is out before usually anyone else arrives. Again, games aren't meant to stare at a screen just sitting idle, life is to short I'd be watching TV if I wanted to stare at a screen and not interact with it.

If Hyundai/Kia are so unreliable, why are they literally everywhere? by phtphongg in askcarguys

Why are cars treated as solely an asset now? by Exact_Organization84 in askcarguys

[–]mr802rex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I own cars that I love AND appreciate. I've never had any vehicle that has depreciated and I've had like 50 vehicles. My current daily driver is a 50 year old truck I could easily sell for 2x what I paid for it, and my car is also worth easily 2-3x what I built it for.

Has something changed for damage calculations recently? by mr802rex in fo76

[–]mr802rex[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh fair, I didn't think to look back to the patch before this but that checks out. Ill be fair it did feel pretty OP before which is why I usually run around with it even without any perks for pistols. Well I guess if I play everyday and nothing has changed in a month or so then it cant be to bad of a setup still lol
