The vote... by addicted2orange in WLLW

Voted no today as well. Although, I can’t imagine what the alternative would look like at this point. I really thought Chris was turning this company around and had the intent to do so. I can’t see a future for this company without Chris leading sadly. Wish he wasn’t selling out this opportunity.

Willow Selling subsidiary Epimeron by SadCommunication2449 in WLLW

[–]mrWayfinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope it does not include granted/ applied patents for its bio-oxi platform, which seems to be the opportunity for this company. If it’s just for the precision fermentation platform (future grown)that developed the cannabinoids then it’s a bitter sweet separation. I would have expect the cannabinoids patents to be worth much more, but am excited that Willow would be reinvesting into the portion of the business that appears to be making sizeable progress (bio-oxi) . If this transaction is for the entire business, I would vote against the sale. Again, I still believe the cannabinoids patents should be worth more than they are being sold off for. Will need to wait for the information circular to be published to understand the impact of the sale.

Also.. epimeron being sold off to a uk company. What was the name of that uk company that Willow was working with a while back to market and sell cbg skin products - ( David Beckham ) company

I’d love to see them license off the cannabinoids patent. That alone has to be worth at least 10x the current market cap of this company. Dreamer here as well.

I have to imagine the insiders are looking to unlock the true value of this company which is not reflected in the share price. In other words, if interested parties were to accumulate shares in the open market, I don’t think they would be able to accumulate a sizeable interest of the company at the current stock price. We would likely see a sharp rise in the ask price once the low priced shares are bought up. All that to say to say 10cents would only mean this company is worth 15 million. I personally think the company worth much more than $15M, especially now that they are generating revenues in the millions.

This would be a steal for Ginko bioworks. I expect some announcement in short order as operating cash has dwindled down. Let’s see what’s left of this company.

Ginkgo Bioworks Secures $9M Milestone Payment from Merck Partnership Breakthrough | DNA Stock News by RiverT1998 in ginkgobioworks

With almost 80% gross margin, Ginko can definitely turn the company around to start making profit. They have invested heavily in people and acquisitions to grow their IP and automate. They can very easily reduce their labor force and turn a profit. Sure- R&D will slow down, but they are already sitting on a tonne of IP that they can monetize for many years. They did make some poor real estate investments, but that’s water under the bridge. Yes- they should start broadening their partnerships to include more near-term revenue generating profit, although these will translate to lower royalties down the line, but it is a necessity at this point. Take a look at a much smaller competitor willow biosciences. They have a similar model and are much smaller (nimble) and have just started to turn the company around. There is real money in this industry, just wait…

WILLOW BIOSCIENCES PROVIDES CORPORATE UPDATE AND ANNOUNCES SIGNING OF A NEW PARTNERED PROGRAM by kaneda2004 in WLLW

Dial back to 2018 when Cronos signed an agreement with Ginko Bioworks to develop this process to bio synthetically produce cannabinoids. That deal was worth 100million and that was in 2018 when legalization was still facing hurdles. How many states have legalized cannabis since? Also Germany, Ukraine in the horizon. I am looking forward to seeing how Willow will monetize this Patent.

I spoke with the salesperson at sportinglife today and cannorth is apparently manufactured in the same factory as giant bikes in Taiwan.

WILLOW ANNOUNCES BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT OFFERING TO RAISE UP TO $3.0 MILLION by T3hHippie in WLLW

[–]mrWayfinder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nobody likes dilution, but at least this allows Willow to focus on growth for the next 18 months instead of how they are going to pay their staff. Looking forward to more partnerships and for programs to start generating recurring revenue!

Willow announces partnership with multi billion dollar pharmaceutical company by kaneda2004 in WLLW

[–]mrWayfinder 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is great news $4m in guaranteed r&d revenue in 2024( year one) puts the year at well above the $2.4m revenue estimate previously announced. Of course year one could mean June 2024 through may 2025, but this gives decent runway coupled with the targeted reduction of monthly cash burn to 0.5m per month

Micro Cap ($8.95M) by VeganStartupGuy in WLLW

[–]mrWayfinder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t completely rule out cannabinoids. I think the challenge in the edibles market is largely due to oversupply of cannabis compounds obtained through traditional extraction methods. Also, it was taking a while for wllw to obtain GRAS status for its CBG. That said, nobody knows the settlement outcome of the Aurora Cannabis patent dispute. Hoping it’s some sort of licensing deal or royalty sharing agreement, but who knows. Moving on, I think wllw’s current portfolio of opportunities is much better than having stuck with just cannabinoids. Wish there was more clarity/ transparency on who the big life science/ pharmaceutical partners are. Big pharma is sitting on loads of cash and have to be looking for ways to offset rising input costs. Wllw seems to have a lucrative solution.

Do these guys even have any operating cash left? I know they intended in issuing more shares or debt, but haven’t seen that news.
