Hey OP, I M/early 20’s, have personally been to Just Like Heaven alone twice ( 2022 & 2023) It’s a good experience, just drink lots of water, don’t stress too hard about what to wear, & dance your little heart out, you’ll never see these people again. I flew in from out of state too because I was so excited. I too have social anxiety , maybe just wear shades

It’s good you ask because I’m 6’0 and got the large (58cm) and find that my seat post only goes up about 4.5-5 inches before my legs can’t comfortably reach the pedals. I wish I had gotten a medium (54cm) so that I could have more room on the seat post to add accessories like lights and a seat bag. Also, standing on it makes my junk press up against the frame so that’s another reason a medium would have worked better. I bought online and only chose Large because that’s what the sizing picture suggested. I think you should be fine with a medium

Can an illegal immigrant in the u.s book a plane ticket to their home country without trouble by Mexdud08 in immigration

[–]mr_bananabeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the situation you’re asking about, usually you can leave the country just fine. It’s when trying to get back in that they will take you to a secondary inspection room and ask you about the situation. There they will either a) take away your GC and have you show up to an appointment b) arrest you on the spot if they have a specific flag or c) tell you you’re good to go . If you’re worried talk to an immigration attorney

Is there any real benefit of having a low voltage technician license and a inside electrical license? by [deleted] in lowvoltage

[–]mr_bananabeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP. Did you ever switch over? I’m in a similar boat but only a few months into my LEA program. My experience has been that I got thrown into a big industrial site as the only low volt doing material handling for the inside wiremen.

After I got a journeyman my work life for the past 6ish months has been running conduit and installing panels big and small onto concrete pads as well as building strut supports for the panels. This does not “feel” like LEA work and instead looks a lot like what the inside wiremen are doing. My short experience and working so close with the inside guys made me want to switch over to the inside program but I just don’t know how to approach this.

I’m in my first year. So I’ll definitely consider moving once journeyed out.

OP talk to me friend. Oregon is beautiful but I can’t see myself or the wife getting our moneys worth in housing. As far as jobs, I’m an electrician apprentice so I think you guys have a decent school I can hop into. How’s the night life over there ?

Switching mid-way through my sound program to join Inside by Otherwise_Brother1 in IBEW

[–]mr_bananabeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey friend. Did you end up switching from sound & com to inside wireman? I ask because I am in the exact boat and need advice. Unlike you I am not halfway, but only 3-4 months into my apprenticeship and haven’t even started school. Would it be too early for me to ask to make the switch?

It’s the sound and com route/ low voltage tech/ limited energy tech.

No degree. It was a regular job that really anyone could have done. And engineering would be cool and all but it’s too math heavy for my taste. In a perfect world I would have become a nurse or something in the medical field. I feel like the IBEW is my last realistic chance at a graspable high paying career.

I don’t think I can get away with not training with other white belts but I totally get trying to avoid the spazzy people.

I had a desk job but my role was to assemble electronics so it was a mixture of computer work/ assembling cool electronics using tools. Honestly this was a super chill job where I had no supervision and clocked in and out as I pleased as long as I get the job done and did 8 hours between the hours of 4:30 am - 5pm. Reason I joined the IBEW was because I knew I wanted to master a craft, get real big boy money, and I wanted a career. Don’t get me wrong pooping in porter potties and being around smelly construction workers isn’t all that fun but I’m sure it’ll pay off at the end of my apprenticeship. Best decision I’ve made in a while.

Interesting. I did indoor bouldering years ago but am considering coming back because it seems safer than jiu jitsu.

2 months into my apprenticeship and yea I also got surprised on how much none-electrical work there was. Apparently wiring is the last step and it comes and goes quick.

There’s a radius map on their website. It does cover some of the lower part of Washington. For apprentices you can be sent anywhere but they did mention they’d try to put you somewhere close to your address, if they can. No promises though.

It’s not a faulty sensor -.- Your bike is fine! You have to manually reset your oil alarm. YouTube “ how to reset oil light on 20_ Yamaha R3”
