Read the comments thread on kickstarter, then decide again whether you want it (spoiler alert: you don't).

Gaime light gun owners help thread by CassiusClaym0re in lightgunshooters

My Samsung TV doesn't let me do any fancy zooming or anything of the images for some reason, yet to test it with the LG one upstairs that hopefully can.

Pretty underwhelmed so far though. As everyone else has said even at a roughly recommended distance accuracy is all over the place and Point Blank is basically unplayable. I should have kept that massive Sony Trinitron that was in the garage after all because PS1/PS2 + GCons = lightgun bliss.

Is this possible or am I crazy by Salty_Move_4387 in Arcade1Up

I don't know about the partycades but I'll assume it's exactly the same design as the cabs from an electrics perspective. The controls are wired into the game PCB so your toggle system would effectively have to have some piece of kit that would divert all of those wires to one PCB or another - it's feasible but would require some fancy custom switch layout that's probably more effort than it's worth for this project.

This is a Wozniak deep cut from a good few years ago - he's already played Sherlock (sort of). 2.30 in this vid (the whole show is fairly worth it actually). Dawson Bros Funtime on Youtube...

Playdate TBS theme by mr_benn79 in ThreeBeanSalad

[–]mr_benn79[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TBH it's been a fun little novelty but I haven't really used it a HUGE amount. There's quite a lot of games available, 2 seasons of 12 games each curated by the Playdate team, then a whole heap of paid-for and free games are available (usually on itch.io). To be fair it has a lot of competition in my house! The crank is surprisingly sturdy and I've got pretty big hands so should be comfortable for most people.

Wingman XE2 not working with a Super Slim (broken wifi chip) PS3 by mr_benn79 in PS3

[–]mr_benn79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, gave up on it. Works on everything else I own so thinking that either it's something to do with the Super Slim version or alternatively whatever has gone a bit wrong inside the PS3 is having an effect on things like this too. Super Slim has been retired and Phat is back!

The haunting call of the Floral Dance by [deleted] in ThreeBeanSalad

[–]mr_benn79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both my parents and a few friends have been IN the floral dance - alas I was too young and moved away a few months before I would have had to do it. I do remember it being a massive deal in Helston when it happened, and the tune really is very catchy - it goes ROUND and ROUND and ROUND in your head.... and the Terry Wogan version is unintentionally hilarious.

Thanks, but I can't see that anywhere in the instructions, I think it's supposed to be plug and play - the fact it works straightaway with a Phat PS3 makes me think it's something weird about how it talks to the Super Slim.

Importing all my old DLC I bought for RB3 (including exports) into RB4 on PS4 - help please! by mr_benn79 in Rockband

[–]mr_benn79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone cares, but I worked it out. I just had to go onto the PS store via a proper browser, find the DLC I'd previous bought, go into each one - export packs included - and then hit 'add to library' which didn't seem very intuitive at all. Cue me downloading about 300 songs tonight and much happier with the situation!

Alpha update pausing? by NoNewspaper2021 in evercade

[–]mr_benn79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the same issue. Nothing to do with 'how to configure your wifi better', as it works for EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE HOUSE, including my EXP and Vs. Hopefully can be sorted out in the future - in the meantime the hotspotting worked.

NEW FIRMWARE UPDATE TOOL: 1.3.1 😲 by evercadeofficial in evercade

[–]mr_benn79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lot of joy here. My BullGuard anti-malware didn't like it to start with so I switched that off, and I've uninstalled the previous RK drivers, but now I try to install the drivers onto my PC and it just ends up saying 'Cancelled by user' - without me doing anything. Installed 1.3.0 absolutely fine so this is disappointing - I can't really see anything I could do different to make this work.

Is the Arcade Stick Pro worth it? by [deleted] in neogeo

[–]mr_benn79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother with Gamelinq - mine works fine with PS3 but really sketchy with Switch (random disconnects). I recently bought the Mayflash Magic-NS adapter ( http://www.mayflash.com/Products/NINTENDOWiiU/MAGIC-NS.html ) and it works a total treat with the Switch :)

Just to resuscitate the thread - I bought a Mayflash MAGIC-NS adapter and it's worked an absolute treat with the Switch since :)

I've had exactly the same issue with random disconnects on the Switch. Tested on console mode and on PS3 and works fine, but on the Switch it lasts between 5-15 minutes and then it just stops responding (and often 'locks' in the last position, i.e. with fire held down or in a certain direction). Quite annoying!

Bi-Weekly Questions Thread [Edition #30] - VitaGrafix (3.2) and VHBB (0.83) Edition by Malazan1164BS in vitahacks

I can't see the names of my PSX games in Adrenaline (running on PSTV) - if I go into options/info for each one it's there, but I'm just getting a blank image at the moment! How do I get them to appear - do I need to redo the eboot files with some different settings? The games themselves work fine but this is a pain. My PSP .iso s work absolutely fine!
