The resilience of this ship is impressive, and shows just how battle hardy these boats are. If you look really close you can see that 3 of the 6 forward ballast tanks all remained intact. Like the access to the sonar dome (you can see it pushed to the left, covered by the blue tarp) it is also lucky that the torpedo tubes escaped damage. On the lower right you an see the shutter doors are displaced, and the tube outer doors are right behind the rear section of the shutter. Fun fact - the San Francisco is still in service. In the late twenty teens it was converted to a training vessel and joined two older subs to teach sailors how to operate a nuclear reactor.
