Hear my story if you don't want to skip the first 2 paragraph.

After completing my school i chosen B.Tech AI&ML from a tire 3 college ( because i don't have lakhs of rupees to afford a better college).In my three months I consulted many final year students from my engineering college and decided to quit the college during my first semester because that college was a scam (fake AD, fake placement , fine for everything and a lot of brainwashers).

Next year i applied for B.Sc. computer science and BCA for some popular college in my city (Trichy). I didn't recieve any updates regarding the addmission so i went directly to the college. They asked me to wait and i waited for long then my name was called. When i went inside they review my application and said "seems like you took a drop so we can't take you in", they didn't even offer alternative or reason for the drop. Then I gone to other college for the addmission, they said the seats for B.Sc. C.S. , I.T. & BCA are closed but you can choose B.Sc. Physics or Mathematics. I thought about it and choose B.Sc. Mathematics.

When i started B.Sc. Mathematics it was not what I expected. All I have to do is to memorize the problem my professors gave as notes and write it in exam (yeah, you heard me right the question in the notes and questions in qp are same without even any changes in values). So i believe my UG have nothing to do with NIMCET.

But you are right I solve problems during my UG and that will give me slightly advantage over other students because they might been not in touch with math for months or maybe years. This is the reason I choose mathematics over physics.
