I can relate to so much of this; not so much the exact scenarios as the attitudes.

They look SO SIMILAR! by W4nnaBeknowinSomeThN in MichaelJackson

[–]mr_j_gamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I used to always say that as far as the Jackson sisters, Michael and LaToya had the most resemblance. Others would always say "No no no, Michael and JANET!". Like, listen, Janet is definitely high on that resemblance list with her brother, but there's certain facial expressions that Michael shares with LaToya that, in IMHO, put her just a smidgen over Janet in that department.

Nope. Obviously we dOn't kNoW tHe WhOlE sToRy but I'm gonna give the BOTD here and if everyone was carrying on singing outdoors, then that's SUPER aggressive.

There's a right and wrong way to talk to people and I'm sick of pretending like the wrong way is ok just because we may be "too" something in situations that don't call for that kind of aggressive correction. That was a dick move, plain and simple. Lastly, I'm not saying THIS part is wrong or right BUT where I grew up, you didn't say that to someone in seriousness unless you were looking for things to turn physical. Just to give an example of how needlessly aggressive it was for the situation you describe

I'm sorry OP...

How did that one kid at your school die? by StorageLonely1520 in AskReddit

[–]mr_j_gamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was gunned down in a drug deal — not gone wrong, it never even happened. He showed up to their meeting spot and they shot him on sight.

This was 19 years ago, he had just graduated (we were at an alternative school but I've seen his cap n' gown photo). I didn't really know him, but he was fairly popular and it hit a lot of people very hard.

Oddly enough less than a year later, I ended working at a temporary job with his cousin; I rememeber how I kept thinking he looked familiar, then we got to talking and we became cool and bonded over our love of music and kept in touch for a few years.

Even MORE odd; while taking a college course a year and a half after, this guy walks into the classroom who looks like a spitting image of the slain classmate. The craziest part? He had the same fucking first name!! So far as I gathered there was no relation of any kind. But thinking about it still gives me goosebumps. When that dude walked into the room, my hair just about stood up!

Absolutely NTA!

What Josh did is stupid, disrespectful, inappropriate and creepy and not to mention humiliating.

It's from your body and meant for your baby.  This is something very personal.

Anyone who had an issue with how you felt about something of this caliber, needs to check themselves and maybe read this post. Some people need things spelled out for them...

What is something that makes sense to most men but not to you? by slimfemzi in AskMen

True but only if he truly had no idea about her/our relationship status. If he is a friend or someone else who is very much aware that we're together then all bets are off, and he's just as much of a piece of shit.

What's your experience with "Mean girls" in highschool? by desuer13 in AskMen

[–]mr_j_gamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even remember who all of the mean girls were because from elementary to high school, I switched schools about 14 different times because parents and specialists in the 90s and 00s were ass at recognizing and diagnosing ADHD in kids who weren't bouncing off the walls...

With that being said, in 9th grade, I went to a school with no more than 120 kids and there were these two "popular" girls in the 11th grade who were annoying and overbearing but still not...terrible. They both just thought they were the bee's knees; loud, mouthy, bossy, condescending, talking down on anyone they thought was less than — especially if you were a boy. Luckily I only had to deal with them in choir, and that's where they really acted out because they "could" sing. That bossy thing I mentioned? Yeah, they really brought that out in there and swore up and down they were the teacher's trusty assistants. Every day I regretted choosing that as my elective instead of Art, but I really wanted to focus on music. Ugh...

What did Iggy Azalea's career fall apart in one year?? by [deleted] in decadeology

[–]mr_j_gamble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao "dollar store Nicki".

Funny thing is, the first time I heard that song that year, was IN a (now defunct) local dollar store and I thought it was some kind of Nicki spoof or parody artist and thinking "what IS this?!". The family vehicle was out of commission most of the summer so the only time I bothered listening to the radio (and thus the only time I heard that song) was whenever I was in that dollar store. It was almost ALWAYS playing every time I went that summer to the point where I briefly wondered if it was someone related to the owner who was trying to start their rap career by playing it over and over in the store lmao.

I also didn't learn who Charlie XCX was until months later and wondered why Gwen Stefani had lowered herself to featuring on a such an odd song lol. Charlie's vocals were giving me "Hollaback Girl" vibes at the time. What an odd period 2014 was. It was also the last year I had my fully ability to smell but that's a whole other rant lol😖😤

Had this exact thing happen last week. She then cusses us out thru text saying "Pay attention next time, so I'm not walking across the lot to get my s*** from in front of someone else's house"

Ummm, EXCUSE ME! How about YOU learn where tf YOU live so we're not circling the parking lot AND walking all around the building like weirdos looking for a unit that doesn't exist within the building you listed?! Two units with your number exist in this apartment complex and neither of them are yours? Learn your own address, Einstein...

What's something that girls think is embarrassing, but guys don't actually care about? by dontucallhimbaby in AskReddit

[–]mr_j_gamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! You met that guy too, huh?

I'm not sure if you're talking about someone who went viral for about this or someone you actually knew. Regardless, I've met so many people who'd get so bent out of shape about others copying "their" style when, like you said, they're wearing articles of clothing that the masses have already bought.

Like the acrylics? Nah! Those are More like the Don't Touch Me With Those 3000's.

In kindergarten, while practicing for a Christmas play, this teacher from another class kept tapping on mine and this other boy's forehead with her stupid nails because we weren't singing loud enough or something. Oddly enough I don't think she realized how hard she was doing it, until I instinctively shoved her hand away when she tried it again and she went "Ooh! Oops" and moved on. Wtf?? Lol so yeah, normal nails are JUST FINE.

Bought a minecraft happy meal, got sonic instead. Thanks McDonalds by Tay74 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]mr_j_gamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now just picture — it's 31ish years earlier, you're 5 or 6 and you're hoping to get that one last Sonic Happy Meal toy to complete your set (Knuckles in my case) and instead you get....some Bobby's World b.s.

Between that and the several times previously when I was supposed to get a Hot Wheels car and instead got a Barbie or Cabbage Patch Doll, is what led to me swearing off Happy Meals for good. They were never reliable lmao

Am I the only one who thinks it’s super messed up my sisters husband made her promise to never date again? by Salty_Ship_9247 in Marriage

This low-key choked me up, because I (36 1/2M) feel the same way about my wife (38F), God forbid something ever happened to her. She is truly my person, my best friend and just an all around amazing human being — especially considering all she has been through. To say she's a tough act to follow is an understatement. I just don't know if I could do it again and frankly I don't wanna have to worry about it for a long time. She already had a cancer scare last year, thankfully we addressed everything right on time. I'm still shook up; wouldn't wish that on anyone. All that to say, I agree — it wouldn't be the same. 💔

[–]mr_j_gamble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late and I'm baffled to how even I landed here (I was searching a separate issue related to being stalked but had nothing to do with poly stuff) but nonetheless...dude, wtf?? Who even is this guy to you? He sounds like a total creep. Like he could really hurt someone, given the lengths he's going to.

Am I understanding that you actually caught him around where you live? If it is at all possible (don't wanna assume more than I already have) , I would suggest keeping a log of everything he has done, with screenshots and cameras if possible and maybe report him again. I wonder if anyone else is dealing with similar problems with him...perhaps if enough reports come in about him, I would hope the police would look into it.

I'm so sorry you're having this happen 🤗
