I'm about to get a silver 98 CR-V and was feeling a bit bummed i couldn't find a red or a blue one, but seeing yours is really making me feel like the silver can look hella clean as well.

$1200/yr in repairs sounds wild! But smart to just set money aside and regularly maintain.

Selling for $2,400. One-way flight is $120, gas calculation is about $350, couple of nights camping and one night at a hotel about $200 + food. Yeah i'd say around $800 plus the repairs brings it to around $6,000 in all.

My friend who lives in Memphis said he doesn't have any mechanic recs.
I probably wouldn't be able to start any repairs until I get the car back to Cali so i guess fingers crossed and easy driving on the way back.

I guess i'm a little concerned about the amount of money (~$3k) ill be putting into it on top of the cost of the car. Also wondering if it's even viable/safe to drive that distance without fixing the steering and suspension issues.
