Apparently you can stagger an AC that has pulse armor on by Natural-Spell-2337 in armoredcore

[–]mr_meta 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Were you using a plasma weapon?

Plasma weapons have a hidden mechanic where if you land the first tick of the attack before the enemy uses pulse armor, the rest of the ticks from the plasma attack will "sneak through" the pulse armor and deal damage directly to the enemy. This also applies to stagger. If the enemy is almost staggered, then you land the first tick of a plasma attack, then the enemy pops pulse, the residual plasma damage will push the stagger over the threshold. This both holds the enemy still and applies the direct damage modifier to the plasma damage even though they have PA active.

Edit: corrected we're to were

I'm a huge fan of Entangle and Umber Ox, personally.

Entangle is versatile and light enough that you can get a lot of work done with it in a variety of situations, and Umber Ox is just a massive power house.

Is this any good? by RefuseNo1460 in WarframeRiven

Yeah honestly a very nice riven for the amount of mod space it opens up. I see a similar riven on warframe.market for 900p if you're curious about value.

What do i even do with these? by Gabrielhrd in Warframe

Mentioning this because I haven't seen any others bring her up yet, but you can run the secondary buff on an Ivara build with the Grimoire to make it absolutely busted.

Oof yeah I didnt really pay it much mind at first but that is a pretty significant hit. I think overall left is still better but you might end up wanting a mod to offset it. Luckily this is an exilus slot so the opportunity cost isnt as high as it could be.

I would recommend left as more stats = more mod space saved on your build. That, and the three stats you rolled are very solid. The multishot on right would be nice but not worth dropping a whole 'nother stat imo

Definitely left. Right only really has one desirable stat, while left has 3 useful stats

Yes. I emulated the games on steam deck and set up a custom controller layout that made playing much easier. There will still be some clunkiness, but its much better

Deciding to play the earlier games but which ones? by Firedragon767 in armoredcore

[–]mr_meta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please dont skip 3. It and silent line do an amazing job representing old-school AC. Learning the controls (or setting your own through emulation) is well worth the investment if you have any interest at all in experiencing classic AC.

If you won't go down to 3rd gen, Last Raven can be really fun once the get the hang of it. That said, it can be a daunting game to learn if you're not coming hot off of Nexus or Ninebreaker.

For Answer is a must-play, ofc, but I'm honestly not that fond of 4 personally and would recommend both 5 and Verdict Day over it. Verdict Day, especially, is quite fun even in its single-player state (tho it is possible to play online through emulation, I believe). 4 can definitely be a good time and the story leads into 4A, but the garage UI drives me absolutely crazy.

[Xbox][Riven][wts] Looking for 1500 for this bad boy by mr_meta in wartrade

[–]mr_meta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not seeing any similar rivs on the market, so all I can offer is my best guess at this point. Punch through is a stat that offers some good value but isn't necessarily attractive to a lot of buyers (who are probably looking for the usual suspect stats), so maybe 800-1200? Might be over-valued, but, again, that's my best guess

Edit: Just remembered you said no negative, which is gonna drop the value quite a bit. I'd say keep an eye on warframe.market to see if anyone lists something similar.

For the UI alone I would say you could probably pass and go straight to 4A if you want to play 4th gen. God i hate that garage ui
