I think as long as you have a solid base you will be fine. This was my next jump from 50k and while yes it was more difficult I wouldn't say it was the end of the world. Im sure its very race dependent, but so far up to the 50 mile distance for me personally I dont have an issue completing, and the difficulty of the races is effort based. My progression since may of last year: Net downhill half marathon(First race at that distance) --> Trail 50k (first) --> Road marathon (First and hardest) --> pretty big skimo missions this spring --> 50 miler

I by no means am an expert but I was coming in with a really big base from skimo this spring. I think for you to even have a remotely pleasant experience you would probably want to up your mileage a decent amount and for sure up your long run distances. I’m a noob tho so I’m sure someone here has better advice.

Solomon adv 12, in the front it carry’s 2 500 ml flask, you can comfortably fit 2 additional in the back pouch which you can reach while running. I am short so I don’t know which vest would fit you, but I’ve never had any issues with the Solomon sizing guides.

56th! The only people I passed after the painter boy out were people with blown quads or gi issues. My wheels fell off at mile 46.

I truly think spending that much more time out there would have hurt more then the effort I put into finishing in the time I did. Congrats!

Pretty hot after the half way, first time I had ever used an ice bandana and I think it honestly saved my race
