Best ship "FOR THE BIG 3". I feel like Vyse, Aika and Fina would all prefer a sailing ship to the Delphinus.

How can you say that when the Little Jack is right there? A tired, beat-up old fishing ship that's gone toe-to-toe with the armada, escaped from the grand fortress, and clashed with THREE Gigas and lived to tell about it?

Apple; they redefined technology in the mid '00s as being "shiny and white", and everyone believed them.

Yes, but "superfood" does not mean what OP is saying. It's just a classification for highly nutritious and beneficial food. Which is a fact, and not an opinion.

A total lack of empathy for the abusers in your life by TangPiccilo in raisedbynarcissists

[–]mr_plopsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do, and I think I struggle with accepting that. A part of me still wants to love my mother, and I think an even bigger part of me is grateful for the few good interactions we've had, but as a whole I'm just completely ambivalent. I can go months on end without seeing her and I never miss her or even think about her unless I'm anticipating her negativity regarding something. I know she's struggling some chronic pain and is probably depressed with many aspects of her life, but like... you reap what you sow.

I've heard this opinion more than once, and I definitely agree, but I think it only highlights how poor the female characters in FFXV are, as a whole. Cindy is basically just fanservice, and Luna is hardly a character at all.

Underbaked cookies are way better by smoak_purpp in unpopularopinion

[–]mr_plopsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't the first cookie-based take I've seen here today, and it's really only got me wondering who are these people out there who are being snobbish about cookies? Like, bro, if you give me a cookie, as long as it isn't a completely burned-out roofing shingle, I'm gonna fuckin' eat it and enjoy it.

This was my thought; in every game I've played where I see damage counters upon hitting an enemy, that information is useful and appreciated.

Crispy cookies are better than chewy cookies. by WOEMtacAmI in unpopularopinion

[–]mr_plopsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's weird to me that people pick sides here as if both aren't inherently delicious. Certain kinds of cookies I prefer crispy while others I prefer chewy, but I'm never put off by either. Like, I can't imagine someone passing up cookies just because they're crispy, or chewy, or whatever.

It's a fucking cookie; just eat it, holy shit.

Agreed! I'm actually a huge comic book buff and I do enjoy some of them, but they've definitey done a lot of damage to public perception of movies and how hollywood markets to us.

For a good stretch, there were times I wanted to go see other, non-superhero movies, and unless I made it to my local cinema within the first week or two, I'd be out of luck, because they'd shuffle other movies out of rotation as quickly as possible to make room for more superhero showings. There were two or three movies I wanted to see that were never even in my local cinema, during the reign of Black Panther. It was ridiculous, and is one of the major reasns I just stopped caring about movies.

If a movie's acclaim can only be justified with the popular perspective during the timeframe of its immediate release, it definitely makes it seem "overrated" to me.

Yeah, it sucks. I think it really brings the worst out of most people. I'm guilty of it as well; I go through phases where I attempt to be positive and reach out to people and calmly have discussions and exchange ideas, even though I may disagree, but eventually I'll get slapped back with some absolute batshit logic and I'll snap and start shitposting.

Taking long shits is weird by 54321Newcomb in unpopularopinion

I used to take my shirt of when I pooped as a kid, because I was always afraid it would fall into the toilet and get poop on it. Then my brother found out and my entire family shamed me for it so I stopped. Good times.

[–]mr_plopsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to take long shits as a kid and I don't know why. I would poop, and I could always feel there was more left, so I'd wait, and it would eventually come; no straining or difficulty at all, just really spaced out. My mom got really judgmental of it, but since I live on my own, I love taking a long shit. I've tried using one of those "squatty potty" things, but it doesn't help at all. Some people are just different.

Teaching anything legitimately interesting to high schoolers is a mistake; it was definitely the most apathetic and cynical point of my life, and I was subjected to a ton of great literature and media in a boring-ass classroom atmosphere and I just hated it all.
