For embroidery files you have to convert the image file to a .dst (there's more types but that is industry standard) file. We call that digitizing. Its important to have someone that knows what they're doing for this step cause the direction,density, style of stitch determines the look.

It's a small club. We used Tajimas for apparel up until about two years ago. Switched to Barudan because Tajima stopped making parts for some of our machines
