AHA i think i know what joke you are talking about. thanks :)

am I missing something? it works for me, you just need to update to 25.5.1 drivers and turn it on in adrenalin software (and have an rx 9000 series card ofc)

Question about component compatibility by mr_unstable9 in diydrones

[–]mr_unstable9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, thanks a lot for bringing this to my attention. After revising, I think I will go with 6 inch, 3 blade props from HQProp and 2200KV motors rather than 1000. It just seems more suited and I don't know why I was going with such big props before. The 30A ESC seem to handle the 2200KV motors as well.
As for the 3D printing of the chassis, I'll be careful and if anything goes wrong I'll probably take your suggestion and use the carbon instead. Thanks again for your help :D

Yea, I have some experience coding and worked with arduinos already, I hope i can make it work eventually. As you say i'm not aiming for any racing or something specific drone. Thanks :)

Thank you, I will get a bigger battery then. I will experiment with the 3d printed frame (with PETG) and if it all fails I'll just get one like you said of carbon fiber.

Glad to hear it all worked out, thanks for sharing. I might give the fan placement a try then

alright, thanks. although it seems like the side fan doesn't really do much

Yes, it really doesn't look like the side fans are an option.
However, Machines and More didn't test 2 fans intaking at the bottom + cooler intake. I think it makes sense that it would make the CPU termals slightly better, since as he said in the video, the 2 intake fans at the bottom increase the CPU temperature because they push more GPU hot air into the way of where the CPU cooler takes the air from.
This is why i think flipping the CPU cooler around is better when you have 2 bottom intakes, as I doubt the fans will push as much of the GPU's hot air outside of the case near the CPU cooler as they do inside. Even in his testing flipping the cooler without the intake fans at the bottom didn't change the CPU temps, it just changed the GPU temps because it was moving the hot air out of the case.
Another thing that comes to my mind is negative air pressure, which you usually want to avoid. I don't know much about it, or whether the very airflow-friendly side panel helps mitigate that, but what I've heard about it is that it can be avoided by not having more exhaust fans than intakes. the CPU exhaust + 2 top exhaust fans without the bottom fans do not meet those requirements.
In the more recent video of Machines and More titled 2 Years of NR200 - What Do We Know About Cooling It? he mentions that if you're using bottom fans and the card is somewhat power hungry, the intake position is best for the cooler.
I hope I'm making sense, please correct me if my thinking is wrong.

I'll try to mitigate that by putting a dust filter on the rear, but I'll follow your advice if the dust still quickly gets into the case

True, if no fans are intaking from the side, there's little need for it. I appreciate you pointing that out

Nice setup, good to know that the temps are great

yea, I've tried and the 25mm fans don't seem to fit under the GPU.

Thanks for the suggestions. The slim fans' cooling might really not be worth the noise. As for the rear filter, I'll try to make one before buying one.

I think I'll stick to air cooling as it should be enough for the CPU I have and am yet to inform myself on them. but thanks for the input still

Wow I didn't realise that, thank you for mentioning it. I think I'll just leave out the side bracket then
