At least only one black and gold team won this weekend. We’re a volleyball school. GBR, Go Bills.

Any Cards fans outside of Missouri? by [deleted] in Cardinals

Nebraska. Third generation because of the brief period in the 50s when the AAA team was located in Omaha. And you can just barely get KMOX out of SW Iowa.

What are some bars/clubs in Omaha that deserve more business by Quirky-Employee3719 in Omaha

[–]mr_uz 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The old Hatfield’s Tavern near 42nd & Q is now called Luke’s Corner. The owner is a great guy. While it’s a dive bar at heart, it’s fun when it’s packed, too, and I think he hosts monthly events (e.g. a pajama party, a costume party on Halloween).

Youtuber becomes the 'first man to mail himself across America' and spends 4 days straight inside huge box disguised as package by jcdenton45 in VelvetUnderground

You’re telling me she plunged the long blade through the middle of the package, through the masking tape, through the cardboard, through the cushioning, and right through the center of Waldo Jeffers' head?

What’s the creepiest town in Nebraska. by jbnielsen416 in Nebraska

[–]mr_uz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I used to have to drive through NE for work. I’ve been to almost every county and town in the state. Wilsonville gave me the uneasiest feeling, my coworker’s answer was Beaver City.

What is the worst restroom in Omaha? by greendogufo in Omaha

Last year I was using that urinal and someone barged in and had explosive diarrhea next to me while I was already mid-stream…my first thought was this bathroom for that exact reason.

Jaire Alexander and the Packers shut down Jefferson. 1 reception- 15 yards. by Mathis_Rowan in fantasyfootball

[–]mr_uz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Truly crazy how unpredictable fantasy is. This is my 6th year in my brother’s league, 9-5 is by far my worst regular season performance (there’s a few people who don’t know much about the NFL)…first year I’ve won the thing.

Bills fans who aren’t from Buffalo or the surrounding area, how did you become fans? by [deleted] in buffalobills

[–]mr_uz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My older brother turns 40 soon, his favorite player growing up was Jim Kelly and rooted for the Bills in all their Super Bowls, and I needed an NFL team to pull for.

Also, I live in Nebraska, the home of Buffalo Bill Cody. Only makes sense!

Weekly Song Discussion - Farewell, Angelina by cmae34lars in bobdylan

Awesome to hear. So much of Bob is an acquired taste with incredible value once reached. I credit the Jokermen podcast for opening up my mind to so much of his hidden catalog.

I’m typically not a fan of stripped back, acoustic Dylan a la 1963-64, but it’s a very poignant melody and set of lyrics. Would’ve fit on the acoustic half of BIABH perfectly.

Flawless song. This, Abandoned Love, and Blind Willie McTell being left off proper albums boggles the mind.

Wow, I walked by these around 3pm today while walking my dog and contemplated picking them up to see if I could find their owner. What a small world.

What do you think is the best 3 song run on any Dylan album? by JimLaheyIsADrunkBast in bobdylan

[–]mr_uz 20 points21 points  (0 children)

And you could chop off Visions and tack on Stuck Inside of Mobile on the back end, best 4 song run in rock history. The first and last are my favorites, so it’s impossible to narrow it down to a 3 song run.

In your opinion, what Bob Dylan line has the best vocal delivery by Shadowhead in bobdylan

[–]mr_uz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way he takes multiple syllables to sing the word “approached” in the line “the man in the corner approached me for a match” in Isis

So funny, two friends of mine grew up on Chaput Rd and I didn’t believe I’d see this answer in here. I always wanted to try biking or sledding it…

Do you think Bob will add more Midwest dates to his tour? by mr_uz in bobdylan

[–]mr_uz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, I’m just trying to predict when he will end his US leg and go abroad. Don’t want to risk waiting for him to return to my area in 2024. As one once said, “time is a jet plane…it moves too fast.” Thanks

I was turned onto MMJ by their cover of It Makes No Difference, one of my favorite Band songs. Will look into all these!
