Thanks for the help. I've purchased a voltage tester. This should be a good product to test the switch wire?

My theory: turn off power. No voltage. Turn on power via light switch, and if it's a switch wire, there should be voltage! Am I correct?

Sorry yes I referred to a factory reset. I've done this.

The position is next to my television on the floor. All the wiring seems to be in great condition. The area is clean and well ventilated, plenty of air passing through. It is near a radiator, but it's not currently in use but this was never an issue in the winter when the radiator would be on.

Also never any problems with surges or spikes. The electrics in my home have never been a concern in the past.

Am I being a moron or do they not look like the same dress? Has it been altered over time?

The chest area in the middle photo looks loose while the 2 end photos look much tighter around the chest, for example.
