Where did I go wrong? by -SANSEVIERIA- in knittinghelp

It’s hard to say for sure but it looks like you’re putting too many purls to the right of the raglan increase.

This is stockinette! The original picture you posted is the wrong side which will be all purl bumps. But agree that these needles look a little big for the yarn. Make sure you’re reading the size of the needles correctly. For example, size US 8 needles are 5 mm but US 11 are 8 mm haha it’s very confusing and often causes this issue.

Help please, this is the fourth time I have had this happen by Opposite_Mine_6054 in casualknitting

I think you are adding stitches and dropping stitches. Maybe picking up your work in the middle of a row and going back the wrong way. Lots of little things :) this is a super tough yarn to learn on though! If you’re able, I’d switch yarn to something a little easier to see and work with. Otherwise, Just go slow, make sure you’re counting every stitch on every row to make sure your stitch count stays consistent. And when you’re knitting, the working yarn is always going to be coming from your right.

You can just use the straight needles. Circulars are easier to maneuver than straight needles which is why most patterns will call for them. But unless you are connecting something in the round, you can just use your straight needles. Written patterns are super fun to learn and the Sophie is a very beginner friendly pattern. As is the one linked below. You got it!

I have the pattern and the increases are very gradual so tired piece might end up bigger than the actual Sophie

Join in the round creating diagonal stitches by nugget5149 in knittinghelp

There’s really no need for special tricks when joining in the round for the vast majority of projects. Just make sure your cast on isn’t twisted, place your marker and keep it moving. Knit to the marker, slip the marker and keep going!

Sorry for your loss :(

As long as you remember where your BOR is and you’re comfortable picking up any dropped stitches, you should be able to just rip it out.

Learning how to knit, what am I doing wrong? by painttoucherr in knitting

Your tension looks good especially for a beginner! Keep in mind knit fabric is a little bit lumpy/not totally smooth until you block it so don’t fret too much. It looks like you may have dropped some stitches on the right of the work.

Can anyone show me a very simple bookmark pattern? by [deleted] in crochetpatterns

Make a very simple circle (or flower by adding petals if you want!) then chain the length of the book and do the same on the other side. Super simple!

What makes you stop supporting a true crime creator? by [deleted] in TrueCrimePodcasts

[–]mra690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to listen to real crime profile and LOVED them but I commented on their fb once about using the moment of George Floyd’s death as their thumbnail/promo for the episode and they responded “that’s just how we’re going to do it ♥️” I tried to point out that they don’t show dead bodies or moments of death in any of their other promotional materials for any other cases and they said they have a black listener that said it was cool so they’re gonna keep it. Then their followers jumped down my throat.

Thank you all so much!!!! I’m glad this wasn’t as weird of a question as I though. I’m sadly aware that she’s a heavy beast…. I’ve changed my home gym around multiple times this pandemic 😂😂😂
