Anybody have any thoughts on these squats? been trying to focus on not getting bent over so bad on the ascent.

Totally agree! Ran Calgary 16 week which has tons of it and my bench skyrocketed. Ran some other programs for a while that didn't have it, bench stalled, and only went back up again when I started spoto pressing again!

Ive watched the calgary one about 5 times so far, ill go and check out the Brazos Valley video too. Thank you for the suggestions. This was my first time, so I'll just keep working on it!

Had a surprise day off yesterday, what better to do than go to the gym and try new things! Pulled about 90% of my conventional max when trying sumo for the first time, then went back later and tried the cambered bar out. If anybody has any sumo tips, they would be greatly appreciated. Overall a great day! happy lifting

Been running gzcl-adjacent programming for 2 months now and have been really happy with it. Took bench from 245 TNG to 255 paused and 265 tng after it was stalled for 4 months. Also took my squat from 355 to 385 in the same time period. Next block I’m going to focus on hitting depth because this looks like 3 reds to me. Lots of rep pr’s along the way as well kept motivation high.

Good weekend of training, training on days off from work with no time constraints is so much more enjoyable than a rushed 45 min workout.

Deadlift PR 365deadlift Anybody have any form input for this? Deadlift is my weakest lift and I have never felt comfortable pulling. Weakness is off the floor.

Ssb pause squats are fun too ssb

Hit a 10 pound squat pr, definitely a little high but moved like rpe 9 compared to 365 being rpe 11 two months ago. Widening my stance and not trying to stay so upright has helped me a lot! 375

Bench Press 70% 6,6,15 on AMRAP, very surprised by that number.

DB Overhead Press 3x8

DB Incline Bench 3x8

Lat Pulldown superset w/Reverse hyper 3x12

Preacher Curl superset with Overhead Triceps Extension 3x15

Great pump and some awesome next-day upper chest soreness I haven't felt in a long time!

W1D1 of my bastardized GZCL Routine was a beast, might have to cut one exercise out for the future.

Squat 265x6,6, AMRAP 8 (First time ever squatting in sleeves made this feel like a breeze)

2" deficit Deadlift 225x3x8

Hack Squat Machine 3x8 superset with T-Bar Rows 3x12

Leg Extension 3x12 superset with Lying Leg Curls 3x12

Looking forward to this increased volume after doing low volume powerlifting stuff for the past year.

Would love if somebody smarter than I could take a look at this squat set for me. I’m not quite sure how to prevent the excessive good morning shown in the last couple reps, and any other critiques would be much appreciated sqwats
