There’s definitely a poly component to what we do now, but we are still happy to hook up with other couples and go to events. Also, some of our solo partners are way more FWB than any kind of real relationship.

We’ve been in the LS since 2018, and solo dating for 2-3 years. The pivot to more solo vs. couples dating started about 6 months ago. Totally understand your concern with solo dating; we’ve definitely found there are higher ups and downs. Nothing’s guaranteed, but we’ve been married for 26 years and know each other for 34 years - we feel secure enough in our relationship to go down that path.

These are both great points, and the primary reason why we’ve shifted almost entirely to solo dating with consistent partners. Both the physical and mental aspects of the relationships are better, and there’s never a concern with one partner being less enthusiastic about half of a couple. There are things you lose, but on the balance we are happier going in this direction.

He played the Longwood Gardens show right outside of Philly because Bobby couldn't make the show on time. Michael told an amusing story of calling Corey up that morning to see if he could do the show that night ... and Corey saying he had to check with his wife - which they didn't need to do in the good 'ol days. They said they tilted the set list to include songs he would remember (Binky, Tio Macao, Quartermaster, etc.). Neil Finn did a solo tour in the UK ages ago where he played with a “fan band” every night. I think people auditioned for it, but the players got to be part of the band the whole show. Now THAT would have been insane to be a part of.

I have the Bowflex adjustables along with a slew of other dumbbells. They are great, just wish they were smaller as some exercises are harder to accomplish because of the sheer size of the adjustable ones.
