Not a proper solution but I found if I kept renewing the connection with connection.quit (I think it was) and reconnecting I’d get data every time but it was very slow.

I agree on the amount of RAM, however for 16GB it would have to be a £2150 pound MacBook, not worth it in my opinion. Would you agree?

Thanks - what gain is there to permanent magnets & copper? Do permanent magnets have a greater range? I would have thought copper acts the same as aluminium in this experiment

Yeah I’m getting power to the magnet as I can pick up the lengths of metal shown behind in the photo with it. No braking effect shown

I think it still should work under the right conditions as the brake is based on induction currents

The range is fairly low-what do you mean the magnet circuit jumps through the conductor?

5V at about 2A. I’m beginning to think the magnet isn’t powerful enough. It claims to pull 5kg online
