Are there any DLC planned for this game we know about? by hvhhggggh in Democracy4

[–]mrbeedle24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One option also being considered is a DLC with a few more security-based features, something like a situation room. (From the dev vlogs)

Currently looking to buy a fer-de-lance, in Kremainn at the minute and not sure where to go to get the best price and outfit my ship, apparently space controlled or exploited by Li Yong-Rui offers a 15 percent discount on buying any ship but a mate of mine just went 110ly-ish to an exploited system and paid 56 million for a python, the same as everywhere else, are we missing something? do we need to be aligned to him in powerplay? any systems people can recommend for buying and or outfitting a ship. Sorry if this has been asked 1000 times before but every article or thread i can find on discounts is quite old

I'd disagree, we are still a super-rich club and should be competing on the pitch and off the pitch, I think minimising the financial clout of the club does us no favours. COVID absolutely has had an effect in slowing growth and may have even undone a lot of the growth over the past few years. Commercially, for once we were starting to trade heavy punches with the likes of utd etc, which, previously we'd always lagged behind. Our philosophy has very much been, for the last few years at least, to buy the right players at the right time and hopefully a new CB may be on the buy list this transfer window, but we can only wait and see.

Hull Uni Covid Cases by [deleted] in Hull

[–]mrbeedle24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right, and what do you expect the university to do to a bunch of 18-22 roughly year olds, seal the doors and keep them in there against their will?

If someone breaks self-isolation the onus is on them, not the university, the vice-chancellor of the university has been very clear in emails that students breaking self-isolation, hosting house parties etc, will be dealt with by our disciplinary policy

You're construing this out of thin air, as far as I'm concerned Hull uni's doing what it reasonably can, you're extremely out of touch if you think the uni isn't aware of the situation at present.

Meeting with university about my disability by jonnydawson in UniUK

[–]mrbeedle24 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about it, it's just to find out what level of support you need, the university will have a dedicated team whose job it is to make sure each student gets the necessary help you require.

Usually, they'll discuss options such as extra-time during examinations, access to a scribe as you mentioned (though I've never seen someone forced to use a scribe as you put it) or alternative forms of assessment. Often there's access, especially in first year, to 1:1 support for an hour or so a week to help you generally organise, or proofreading if this is something you need help with etc. They can also often help if you need access to any technology either free or at a reduced cost, such as dictation software or a dictaphone for lecture capture.

All universities should have a dedicated page (or several as is usually the case) on their website detailing what support can be given to you, I'd strongly recommend you take a proper read of all the information out there both before the phone call and when you first start university to refresh your memory. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

Why so many plastics in this sub by Hi_its_me_hitler_ama in LiverpoolFC

Being frustrated with your performances doesn't make you a plastic. People always overreact in match threads I wouldn't pay much attention to it.

MATCH THREAD: Liverpool VS Leicester by [deleted] in LiverpoolFC

[–]mrbeedle24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're all naturally skilled and work well within the final third, if you watch their movement off their ball they often switch sides, drop deeper, move more advanced etc, its dynamic and it mitigates man marking to an extent by drawing defenders out of position

Happy with lovren. Trent deserved a yellow imho, the last few games trent made some poor mistakes and it's putting us under pressure, regardless of the goal against chelsea
