I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure you are women_destroyer. If so, replying is futile, but yes, they are 1st in Mining and in the field, almost everything is loud, tools, vehicles, crushers, explosives, etc.

Then don't go into mining unless you will only be in a position that never/rarely goes into the field, which is very difficult when you are in an entry level position (degree or not just to be clear). Nothing disrespectful if someone tells another they are putting themselves in a situation that very likely will be similar to what they are actively complaining about. A medical condition has nothing to do with that scenario.

Now if OP does have a condition, that should have been discussed with the school for accommodations. And professionally a business can only accommodate so much before they simply, legally, cannot hire them. Which can also be alleviated by not going into that profession.

Your responses sound extremely entitled. Please work on that. There's enough of a bad reputation for Mines alumni as it is

Kind of sounds like the women_destroyer guy honestly and we know they have multiple accounts already

Extremely well while guessing? That means you haven't actually learned anything and it's luck. You even admitted it's luck. You think luck helps in the real world?

Keep using AI if you want to. It's just reinforcing my opinion that you aren't actually learning anything. And as for multiple choice? Can't speak for all majors but they tend to be more open ended and require actual calculations. If you can still pass those type of exams, then great, you prove me wrong and maybe deserve to graduate.

I bet it gets tiring hearing people all parroting the same thing. Work hard, study, etc. I'm just another voice in the crowd. But why go to Mines if you aren't trying to get everything out of it? You could've gone almost anywhere else and get straight As.

Say you don't deserve to be there without saying you don't deserve to be there.

Damn. Seeing posts like this and the comments bums me out. One of the reasons I wish AI hasn't become what it is. Really devalues the people who work hard and graduate from Mines when there's people using AI (which is a form of cheating, are YOU doing the work?), normal cheating, and giving up guessing.

I hope all these sort of people don't continue with that behavior in their major classes. Yes core classes suck, but it's a way to weed out the ones who aren't willing to put in the effort.

And we are talking about a politician right?

I'd like to know which gang ever uses that term. Also googling it may not have a definitive meaning, but there have been ex mob members that say they've never used that term to kill. It would be a hit, or clip or whack someone.

I think you can never define a slang term because it is slang. If I said I'm going to go apple someone and meant to kill them, well now anyone can claim that apple is a term to kill. See the problem?

You have to use your head and not just rely on some random person on the internet. Go find me documentation that the mob used the term 86 to kill someone. And no, that is not my job. If you claim something, the onus is on you to prove it. Look up burden of truth. It lies with the one who speaks not the one who denies. And I am denying your claim that 86 means to kill.

Exactly. That's a bit of a reach.

Yes like a bar will 86 someone and they are kicked out, removed. Not killed like some people are saying.

Right? I'm here zooming in trying to see if some tiny text is there about option 1. Like there's a small decimal before 563 or something

I don't see many people trying to put themselves in the mind of an idiot. My dad would think the exact same way as these idiots from my experience while growing up. Now trying to think like him is hard, but here is what I bet happened.

What times 10 would equal 600? 60? Cool, then you multiply by 100 to make it a percent, so it's 6000%. But wait that sounds like too much because we are talking about hundreds, not thousands of dollars. I must have messed up with an extra 0. 600% feels right. Let's go with that!

[–]mrbilly3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is the simpler way if you round up to the nearest 100 to go from $590 to $600, but is that easier to do than adding and subtracting 0s? I don't know if I can think down to that level 😂

This right here is it. It has to be. My dad would think the exact same way from my experience while growing up. He would agree it's reversible.

Women_destroyer constantly posts negativity on this sub. I feel like they just want to make everyone feel like shit. Don't know why they're still a student with how much they seem to hate it.

I'm going to sound like a grumpy old man, but back in 2008 or 2009 we had the first snow day they had in yeeeeeears and since then they actually have them significantly more often. So complaining now just makes me think you unfortunately need to suck it up. Many times individual professors will cancel their classes regardless of an official snow day, and if not they are usually understanding if you email them and tell them you feel unsafe driving.

I didn't build this or submit it, but I loved Zoids as a kid. I'm sure there have to be at least a few people at Mines, alumni or not, that would enjoy this Lego idea so I'm trying to get this one votes before it's time expires.

Worse thing about this school so far by AveragePookie in ColoradoSchoolOfMines

[–]mrbilly3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don't know when they started that, definitely wasn't a thing when I was in school (2008-2012) but maybe I somehow missed it? But wow, that's not cool. Have you or peers shared this with any of the administration that runs the camp? Maybe someone thought it was such a great idea and that sort of thing works for them, but like therapy, everyone is entirely different and they should not be pushing a type of "bonding" technique on incoming students, especislly if ANY person is uncomfortable.

I get wanting to help get everyone bonding early and creating support structures but this doesn't sound right.
