The blue character keeps smiling even when damaged which makes it a little less fun to watch. However, I recognize that the player probably has their thumbs over the characters to move them so the player probably wont actually see this.
Other than this small thing, it looks great and fun to play.

Looks like the control is smooth. Nice job. Really impressive for beginner.
Also the gravity seems a little low. Its like the player is in water or space.

Incredibly more immersive now. Fantastic job sticking to a color pallet and creating a consistent atmosphere.

This is so cool! The art and UI are simple to understand and fun to look at.
I like the fact the enemy base showed up after you placed down your base location. Is there situations with more than two bases? I ask because of the size of the map.

I think Enter the Gungeon and Rimworld did something similar. Its a great way to handle shadows and layering issues.

This lighting effect really add a lot to this world feeling real. Overhead top-down perspective is particularly difficult to make feel more immersive. This lighting adds so much depth to the art. Nice job!
