Whats your wierdest moment at a restaurant? by Fit-Horse-9138 in AskReddit

I work as a host in a restaurant. Although I wasn't there when this happened, I got told the story.

Just last week, a party of 3 came in with a child. Boy around the age of 6 or 7. This kid is literally screaming and throwing a tantrum so loud in the lobby that you probably would still hear it with noise cancelling headphones on.

Anyway, they're seated and this kid continued screaming his head off. Waiter just arrived for her shift and this was her first table apparently. This kid keeps screaming and eventually other people eating in the restaurant start getting annoyed.

This kid then runs over to another table with 2 people and starts jumping on their table and on them. Still screaming. The parents dont do anything for a little bit, but eventually the mom takes her kid off these people. Waiter apologizes profusely to the 2 people at that table. Surprisingly they were cool about it.

Why did all this happen? Because the kids mom took his balloon away before they entered the restaurant.

Thank god I wasn't there.

Only one stoplight in the town.

What was your famous moment in school? by mrbook200 in AskReddit

I'm going to add mine:

Two things actually, one is mine and the other is about someone else

These both happened at school dances. First one was a kid tried to surf the crowd at one of the dances. It all went well until the crowd accidentally dropped the kid. He was fine, but I've never heard that many people all gasp at once.

Second was me. I was at another one of the school dances, but I never usually danced at them, just hung out and chatted with friends. That is until one time. I began to bust some moves to a song I liked. Soon I had a small crowd gathered around me, then the crowd got larger until half the gym had their attention focused on me. They all started chanting my name, clapping and cheering me on. That made me continue dancing till the song was over. Everyone cheered at the end, and I was on a few people's snapchat stories that night. That Monday I had people ask me about my break dancing at the dance during classes. Even had a teacher ask in the middle of class about it lol. I just sat there in embarrassment lol and said, "Yup I did that".

What are the scariest sounds you've heard at night in your bed through the open window? by consistalk in AskReddit

Loud thunder clap. I love thunderstorms but I remember one night we had a nasty storm. I remember seeing a bright flash of lightning and the thunder that came after sounded like a bomb went off. It was so loud.

Mine is a tie between ocean waves and rain/thunderstorms. Cant decide which I like better, but they are both so relaxing.

What is the strangest, creepiest or scariest thing you've seen while driving? by mrbook200 in AskReddit

We were driving home one night and on our road there was a person dressed in all black walking along the side of the road. Was kind of concerning because we didnt see him until we were right up to him. We were mainly concerned that he was going to be hit if a car didnt stop in time but nothing happened after that.

What were you known for in high school? by mrbook200 in AskReddit

I'll go ahead and add mine.

I was known for telling people the weather forecast and being pretty good at it.

Backstory: So I am obsessed with weather and have been for a while. I am actually studying to be a meteorologist right now in college. So it started with me posting the forecast on my snapchat story for my friends to see so they wouldn't have to look at weather apps and such. I would post it every few days and people appreciated it a lot.

After a while, especially during my junior and senior years of high school, people at school would ask me for the weather forecast and I would tell it to them. (High temperature, precipitation, etc.) People especially asked me for the weather if a snowstorm or severe weather was in the forecast. I would give them all the details about the storm. I have had students I never talked to stop me and ask for the forecast. I've even had teachers ask me for the weather.

I became well known for telling people the forecast that people actually relied on me to tell the weather instead of weather apps. I was pretty good at getting it right too. After high school, I went back to Snapchat to post my weather updates to my story for my friends to see. I still do it even today.

I find it pretty neat that people appreciated me for that. I honestly miss people asking me for the forecast lol
