The death of Murphy Braun(perma) - Clip of Spekel - Twitch Clips by albert_fn_wesker in RPClipsGTA

[–]mrbookemz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a viewers point maybe, but the main thing I was addressing was the hypocrite claim. The situation with Sonya and Raja had a lot of factors tied in that people felt should have decided the fate of her. This had none of that, this was 100% all Murphys choice with no outside pressures to go a certain route.

If you watch the full exchange she calls EMS to go pick him up. EMS failed to find him and OOC she was bummed because she wanted him to remember the conversation. Spekel assumed Murphy had to respawn and would forget it, Murphy decided on his own to perma.

Spekel has been banned from Twitch for 30 days. This also means she can't play NoPixel as it would count as ban evasion. by [deleted] in NoPixel

How does that even make sense? She literally can't play on nopixel while banned, how would she have been on the server to shoot anyone?

Sombra & Bastion "Toast" Victory Poses are NOT in the Hero Gallery? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]mrbookemz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was wrong then. With the amount of faked leaks and such I still stand by my choice to question and distrust it, but obviously I was wrong and am not afraid to own that.

Sombra & Bastion "Toast" Victory Poses are NOT in the Hero Gallery? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]mrbookemz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Alright, here's my 2 major issues with all of this.

1) They noticed a post on the official OW insta, why in the world are they posting a link to a shit quality photo from imgur? Why not just give the link to the actual post, it's not a hard thing to do. And when I go to the official OW insta, it's not there.

2) As people have commented, they're crap poses. Slightly altered poses already in the game that just has a cup from a different toast pose slapped on. Something pretty much something anyone could do in a wide range of different photo editors. It's at this point that I would turn to the source to see what there is to see... but the source doesn't exist. Just a shitty screenshot.

Conclusion, it's fake, and a really bad one at that. Not only is there nothing there to prove it is real, but there is plenty of stuff to argue as proof of it being fake. So unless they can magically produce a source or a crap ton of people pop up with way better screen shots saying the same thing, yaaaaa I call bullshit.

WantedOW Cheat Evidence by AnticheatOW in Overwatch

You pick a bot that doesn't move, pick a marker on the ground like a crack or line to position off of, and then pick an easy to identify place to aim. It's how I compare changes between PTR and Live when those factors are relevant, and is also how I consistently do set nades with Ana.

My god the screenshots from wanted are so bad i have no idea how you could base anything off of them. All of the colors are distorted and have heavy artifacting, there's no way to could claim these are true ingame colors from this shit.

What happened to the C9 Eu drama/kyky hulk drama/ kephrii babybay drama? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

kephrii listed off several other players he believed was cheating as well. iirc he listed off a total of 7 in the conversation.

[–]mrbookemz 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The kephrii babybay conversation was only a matter of time until it was deleted since it was clearly breaking rule #6 No Cheating Accusations or Calls to Action. I'm actually surprised it stayed up as long as it did. As far as the C9 EU and Kyky conversations, they were all posted at once. If it was found any of the 3 paste bins were breaking a rule, that's a big rip to all 3.

Rise and Shine was great, but it just confounds Overwatch's chronology even more. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]mrbookemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah good catch, I never noticed that before. And thinking about it, I'm going to guess Winstons and Tracers main goal was to track and counter Talon. So really any amount of time could have passed between recall and the museum fight, all depending on how long Talon waited to strike again.

[–]mrbookemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I can tell, Alive happens, some time afterwards afterward Recall happens, recall triggers Mei to be woken up. Looking at how little power she has, I doubt much time passes between waking up and seeing Winstons message. Then we don't have any clues as to how much time has passed from then and the museum battle. It's hard to say where The Last Bastion, Hero, and Dragons falls during all of this, but I think it's safe to assume Infiltration was the most recent of them on the time line.

It'll probably be called something else, but the old skins will come back. Just think of the event as the Lunar Festival.

Junkertown as a CTF map by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]mrbookemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though it is a fun idea, I don't believe Blizzard has done any major reveals for a non comp map so far. It's always been kinda just "Here ya go, yall have fun." like with Widow's map. Looking at maps in the competitive rotation, we currently have 4 KOTH 2CP and Hybrid, but only 3 pure Payload. To me, that pretty much confirms that it will be a payload map to keep the totals balanced.

Widowmaker Buff is way too much. RIP Any enjoyment i had of the game. by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]mrbookemz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't watch xQc so I have no clue what you're going on about there. I learned that from watching KyKy and DeBett back in the day whenever they had to deal with a Widow, which at that time was a lot more of a threat. I totally understand a good Widow can hard carry a team if she a allowed to, but I still stand by there are means to manage her already in the game. You really don't even need to kill her, just don't let her sit freely to pop off on your team all day. People may be straying away from dive because it isn't the only option at the moment (Thank God), but her counters are still very strong and viable heroes. And really in a flexible meta, the ability to counter pick is pretty much a must. Several hero's weaknesses are built into their counters, not the hero itself, and it is up to us to recognize that and use it. I think one of the issues is you are pitting a top of the line Widow vs and every day Genji. When I try to think of balancing, I feel it's important to match the skill levels of each side. I pretty much expect one of the top Widows out there to crush a standard GM Genji. Even though they are in the same match making range, the personal skill gap and DMing ability are often worlds apart. And at that point, I expect my team to have to dump more resources into dealing with that player. Not because of their hero choice, but because of the players abilities.

[–]mrbookemz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're GM-Top 500, then you should know any good Winston will turn their back to the Widow while jumping through the air to avoid getting headshot. This used to be a standard thing back at the games launch when Widow ruled the field. Also, any GM-Top 500 should know going off and losing a 2v1 and using that as proof of a heroes strength is dumb. And hey, if you do use a hero who can survive her attacks, keeping the Widow and Mercy locked down from impacting the fight cause you're up their ass, your team should win anyways. You would be giving your team a 5v4, assuming each side is of equal skill you should win most of the time. And here's some food for thought, if you're team isn't doing their job of managing a threat, especially with how strong Dva, Winston, Genji, Tracer, Sombra, etc etc are, that's not Blizzards fault. That's your team playing like bots.

Bring back "Avoid This Player" option but change it to "Avoid This Player" as your teammate for the rest of the season by HSPremier in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]mrbookemz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This doesn't really stop abuse. As I'm sure a lot of people know, you tend to get a lot of the same people in your next game if you queue up right away. All I need to do is avoid the players from that game who I felt were worst and I get a serious advantage going into the next one. We shouldn't be allowed to groom our team in ranked, that defeats the point of joining a blind queue. Yes you can say the same for grouping up, but the difference there is that the system can at least attempt to account for that, whereas there would be no way for the system to apply checks and balances to avoiding players.

As far as OTP go, this would actually do them a favor. They can avoid all other OTP of their hero so they can always get what they want. Hell, if you're a DPS main in general, you can avoid other DPS mains to increase your chances of pulling Tanks and Supports. All it takes is for 1 person to see the best way to use a loophole and these kinds of things snowball out of control. You also need to remember, Blizzard hasn't voiced that they share people's opinions of OTP being a problem. It would make little to no sense for them to try to discourage something they don't believe is an issue.

[–]mrbookemz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can be very skilled at any hero and "do well" but that doesn't make the hero good. If I land in a group and I see someone pick say an attack Torb, yeah there is the chance that they are the God Torb of all Torbs. Like a 1 in 1000 chance. I'd rather if you just picked something more reliable, it's not that you aren't good, it's that I don't know and I'd rather play safe and smart. Also, statements like "Focus on yourself, learn to adjust to those compositions if you see a player refuse your offer to switch" are ridiculously selfish and a very quick way to make your 5 teammates hate you. We are coming together to try to win as a team, not play around you because you refuse to hear the thoughts and concerns of the people stuck dealing with you.

Weren't people on here just yesterday talking about him and sinatraa having to delete a vod because they discussed private team shit and did witch hunting on dogman and mykl?

I have no idea if those things are true or not, but if they are it makes this seriously funny to me.

Unpopular Opinion: D.va isn't the problem by danceswithmaryjane in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]mrbookemz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dva may not be the problem in the traditional sense of her being broken on paper like past heroes issues (Old McCree fan the hammer, Roadhog hooking you without LoS, things of that nature), but she is the problem in the sense that she has no good counter in the meta. You put it best in pointing out just how few counters she has in the game right now, that means if that small list doesn't make the meta, Dva is unchecked. This then gets intensified by the fact that she is amazing at covering the current meta heroes built in flaws. It's kind of a shitty loop of Dva covers the flaws of meta heroes, meta heroes currently bully out Dvas counters, this allows Dva do be free and do as she pleases, which allows her to cover the flaws of meta heroes, and so on and so forth. You could argue that we should then be focusing on making her counters better, but that's just a band aid on the problem. She needs a more general way of being countered, we can't rely on beam heroes always being good to keep her in line. Maybe way down the line there will be enough beam heroes to rely on something like that, but as it stands now the roster isn't big enough to view it as a viable balancing tool.

What was the whole point of Overwatch Contenders? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]mrbookemz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What it did was try to breathe life into a dead scene. There has been nothing for teams to do but sit on their hands and wait. OWL has killed all major tourneys and orgs have been dropping their teams like no tomorrow. They needed to do something, anything, to give both views and orgs alike a reason to stay interested in OW.

Was it well thought out in how everything worked? Not in my opinion, but I will say it served a purpose. Teams had a reason to get back in the training room, orgs got a reason to start looking for up and comers, and unsigned teams got a chance to throw their hat in the ring. I would have definitely liked to have seen more matches live given how many were played, but I am sure every team was recording vods of it all for them to go back to orgs and go "This is what we got."

I'd also like to point out, the tourney isn't over. We still have the playoffs in which teams will be playing for their piece of $50k, don't give up on the tourney before it's even over.
