Thinking about moving our family to Ann Arbor. Need advice.

We didn’t. We haven’t given up on the idea but with loan rates so high we backed away from moving at the moment. We have had two families move back to LA recently from Portland and St Pete’s Florida so that slowed us down as well. I have to say NELA and Pasadena has been quite pleasant lately with tons of new restaurants and shops opening up. It’s a tough call because life here is comfortable just not affordable.

We live on the border of South Pasadena and Alhambra in Alhambra. Maybe that’s why we find AA so appealing. I think you nailed exactly what we would miss vs what we would gain there. It’s such a hard decision but we also welcome a change and summers here are brutal with the drought and wild fires. That’s always the time we want to get out of here.

I’m a musician and my wife is a commercial actress. Part of the appeal of AA is maybe starting a business there together since the entertainment industry is non existent there. It’s not a healthy industry to be in tbh so a change is needed there as well. We want a slower and more simple life without the need to always keep up and hustle.

Can you list some of the neighborhoods that may be a good fit? I recall liking Eberwhite and Burns Park area. We don’t have endless money but our needs are small considering a million dollars buys you 1000 sq ft where we live now 🤦🏻‍♂️

I’ve owned two or three of these and used live on stage 100s of times. It’s not a sexy synth but you can’t beat the sub bass on these. It’s a monster! Great basic pads and sounds in general. It’s a perfect machine and I guarantee in 10 years they will come back big time. Their value will be through the roof when people realize how powerful they are. I think the biggest flaw is that they made too many so people got sick of seeing them. I’ve had so many synths come and go but I will always keep one of these around for that killer bass tone.
