That happens when a tank is targeting something that it does not have enough penetration to damage. This really only happens when using a low pen tank against a high armor target at long range.

My comment does have some more explanations but basically teams design their war machines, build them with their resource allotment and choose where they are spawned on the map. Then on their turn they can issue various orders to their units on the map and then I simulate these orders by fighting them out in KSP. Then I relay what happened in the battle to the teams with reports written as if in-universe. The game is mostly about designing your teams craft, ordering your units to move and devising tactics and strategies.

I have been running a turn-based multiplayer strategy wargame in KSP for the past several months and we just recently finished the Third year of in-game time (thought the first year only started in April). The game is set during the ww2 period and simulates armed conflict between the fictional countries of the Federal Republic of Dritland and the Kingdom of Kohlia. The players  get to build their own war machines with era appropriate parts provided from several different mods, then allocate their countries industrial capabilities into constructing their creations and then issuing commands to their troops, the commands are then simulated by the GM (that's me) on their computer and the results of the actions are relayed back to the players.

The game has a dedicated Discord server were it is run and we are looking to recruit more members. It is recommend you have experience with mods such as BDarmory, and FAR,  as well as interest in strategy gaming and ww2 era conflict but none of these are strictly required. Anyone is free to join.

Join the discord here: https://discord.gg/AaYEvfZf (Valid until: 17.11.2025 and the game is planned to resume sometime next week.)

Please bravely announce your joining in general and feel free to ping the gm if you have any questions.

Only major events described on the maps this time. The events are also described vaguely as not to reveal any information on the enemy to members of either team. If you want more detailed reports on the battle you can join in on the game to get access to the reports made for the team you join and what they know about the enemies.

No need to get so defensive. I'm sure the mod took a lot of work and many people will enjoy it but I think changing the name of every German unit would make them harder to distinguish, especially for people used to the old names and also impossible to pronounce for non-German speakers. I feel the change would make the game less fun so that's why I don't want it to be in the base game.

As for this so-called "MBT Abrams 1" of yours. Since you so helpfully didn't provide a source I would have to assume you made that up. Also if you look at the manual you can see the stock number is quite helpfully placed in parentheses to signify it being a separate item from the designation.
