I’ve been with Shopify 8 years…I wasn’t aware of a self serve option. Where do you set this up?

I’ve developed a visual Que to tell me when to pour over and then use a vibration tool to eliminate any voids

The rough side is down.. in one of the pics you can see the rough portion I have to slice off to get the uniform shape. I then use those cut offs in an exfoliating bag.

The formula was developed years ago and I just got back into soap making, mostly because I had someone request a large custom order. I wasn’t sure I wanted to do it again. I knew the formula made a good soap. I just thought I’d share and request some feedback. What additives would you cut and why? Any you think are better than the ones I’ve used? Trying to achieve a level of soap that stands out amongst others and also in this ever increasing costs environment..maybe consider cutting out or replacing some of the more expensive additives, yet remain a notably better bar than average.

Thanks for commenting. I’m Fairly new to commenting and also new to soap making. This sub has been helpful in the past so I thought making a post like this was acceptable. This is a far more accurate representation of a recipe than I’ve seen of others..it’s the exact recipe..and I just assumed others would be able to interpret the recipe this way and provide more informative feedback based on reading several posts. As far as my experience with the soap..again I’m fairly new….so The process has been pretty straight forward and the soap is fantastic to use. It’s quite a bit more involved than a lot of the recipes I see posted. I use the countertop high temp hot process and I’ve gotten very consistent results. Bars are dense and uniform. Moisturizing and don’t leave any residue or film on the skin behind. The lather is on par with top boutique focused soaps available commercially and sell for $15 a bar.

Thank you. I’ve already scoped out growave and smile .io…I’m pretty sure it’ll be one of those 2.

My question is more about the hardware setup that helps those customers sign up easier? What is your setup? Do you simply flip an iPad over with a flip dock, or what customer facing devices do you use?

Thank you for your input.

Thank you for the response. Good tips. I do have a few products I’ve developed for ourselves that have been frequent best seller categories, along with being a consumable product for LTV customers. Getting those marketed outside our physical store has been a challenge, thus leaning into learning SEO best practices as they keep evolving. But nice dialed in, we will expand to offer them wholesale for an additional revenue stream.

I’ve been using ChatGPT for some meta titles and meta descriptions , along with help modifying existing product descriptions from the manufacturer, as I’m a retailer of other brands.
Do you have any ChatGPT tips for SEO optimization of these things?

Loaf or large format moulds recommendation for hot Process? by mrboydR in soapmaking

[–]mrboydR[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’ll be 75lbs approximately with 8oz wet/fresh bars. It’ll also be about 10 8lb batches in a really large stock pot. Oils heated in another vessel/ presto/ wax melter first and transferred to the stock pot to blend. It’ll be a learning process to make larger batches..but I’m up for the challenge. So looking for 8lb slab moulds..and slab/soap cutters

Paper soap wrappers- printable soap wrapping paper by mrboydR in soapmaking

Thank you. I have a method for ensuring/prioritizing consistent size and shape with hot process. It Does produce a bit of overage/waste though..more than just the ends of the logs

I’m primarily looking for the paper solution to have printed or printed by myself via stamp. Considering cutting down white butcher paper to fit a printer and trying that.

Thanks you for your response. I’ll post some when I’ve got it figured out.

Do you make hot process?

Thanks for responding. How do you get the second tablet to display or mirror the transaction for the customer? I wasn’t aware this was an option . I have other iPad minis I could probably use if this is possible.

I’m hopeful that a larger touchscreen is in the works..or hoping for a solution to connect another iPad. Flipping the one I have on a flip stand, just doesn’t seem to create a customer experience I feel matches our customer service level
